If anyone knows of possible sources for a rubber eyecup for my new G-15, I would appreciate any and all ideas.

The outside dimensions of the viewfinder housing is approximately 1" wide by 1/2" tall.

Thanks!

StacheCache: I just received my new Canon G15 late this afternoon (10/01/2012). I also got an e-mail from Canon Support saying the camera would not be available until 10/17/2012. So much for being on top of things! In the few minutes I've had a chance to play with the G-15 I gotta say I'm impressed. It is solid, well made, menus are easy to follow, buttons well-placed. The grip area is OK but could be better. The camera surface has a rough metallic feel--a little cold and industrial for my taste.

Until I checked this website a few minutes ago, I could not find a way to download a complete user manual. Also, the viewfinder, one of the main reasons I bought the camera, comes without a rubber eyecup. The opening is tiny to begin with and the lack of eyecup limits the usefulness. If anyone knows where to find an aftermarket eyecup that might work--please let me know. I checked Canon and they do not have anything that will fit this camera. Pity!

tutek:

Thanks for the link to the manual. Now if I can just find a rubber eyecup that will fit my new baby, I will be a happy camper!
