as expected, class leading detail and resolution from the canon 5dr,,,but I see a bit too much noise at base iso...is dpr using compressed raw files from this canon as the Nikon d810 file sizes are LARGER.the canon 5dr will sell extremely well for canon, the nikon d810 is a very strong contender and may have better overall iq..with less resolution.happy for the canon fans as they finally have their high rez canon.the 5dr in the hands of skilled photographers will produce stunning images
as a Nikon user(d700/d300s/d2h)I recently shot my friend's 7dm2 for a short period,it is a great performance camera in regards to fps,af and overall handling/speed and will serve its intended market very well..I LIKE IT A LOT...iq wise the Nikon d7100 AND pentax k3 are better..my colleague is a die hard canon fanboy..and he wishes the 7d2 had the excellent sony exmor sensor for the imaging pipeline..YES the sony sensors are that good
they also took a modified NIKON F to the moon.i beleive they left the nikon behind on the moon...SOOO if you're looking for a very RARE Nikon F..you will find it on the "dark side of the moon"
did not take long for the 6d defenders to chime in.this site has reviewed both cameras in depth and rated d600/610 higher mainly because it is a higher specification camera with equal iq.6d has built in wifi/gps..optional on 610,6d has better live view and video implementation and excellent center af point.610 shoots faster, more af crosspoints, built in flash(very usefull for firing(wirelessly)nikon speedlights, dual card slots(very usefull) af assist light,CLASS leading sensor and the ability to link its spot meter to any af points..something that no canon camera can do except for the $5k-6K 1d series
congrats to sony on the A7r,top notch image quality, impressive lenses to match the stellar iq...and thank you to dp review for pointing out that this camera is best suited for the serious raw shooters.well done sony.
WOW..i get the feeling that this new sigma lens will embarass the "super nikkor 58mm 1.4"..and the canon equivalent 50 mm 1.4.. in both cases "L" stands for less.WAY TO GO SIGMA
no disrespect to the "mighty" 58mm 1.4..with NANO coating..but my old 50mm 1.8d af nikkor ($99 us dollars..plus tax) is very, very sharp once i step it down to 2.5 and stays sharp all the way up..best 99 dollars i ever spent .sorry nikon..not impressed with the 58 1.4g
i like what he does, and the "fro" is an EXCELLENT PHOTOGRAPHER.keep up the good work jared polin
pity they did not include the samyang 14mm 2.8, i have the nikon version and it is absolutely razor sharp on ff and dx..compares VERY well to the stellar nikkor 14-24 at 14mm
looks like another great little camera from pentax..always liked their cameras all the way back to the k1000 lx/MX and ME models.hope they sell a whole lot of k-3's, would love to see them introduce a ff camera in the near future.i'm a nikon user
seems to me that the nikonians are more receptive to this lens than the canonites..are the canon guys in denial?..YES the super canon 24-70 is superb..so is the tamron at a more affordable price..same applies to the nikon version..GREAT TO HAVE AFFORDABLE OPTIONS..if you're into extreme pixel peeping at 200% ..get the canon or nikon version
just saw the latest apple i phone comercial where "more pictures are taken with the i phone" than any CAMERA...lmao..
mpgxsvcd: If it was an interchangeable lens camera I would be very interested.
i agree with most of the comments here..what is the purpose/aim of this camera?yes it has great iq..but so does my "$399"dollar sony nex c3..same chip, that i use exclusively with nikkor prime LENSES..did i mention that i can change lenses with my sony nex c3?..sorry folks but the sony nex system is much better...and you can use nikkor lenses with the sony..if this camera was $599..maybe.i'm a nikon user almost 30 years, this camera and the v1/v2 are wayy overpriced
