In reply to:

RuthC: We have seen this shot numerous times in previous challenges. This is NOT a wild cat in need of feeding itself, but a tame domesticated cat, (evidence in the member's gallery.)
In Australia, cats, both domesticated and feral, do huge damage to the native wildlife. I've watched, and been unable to prevent a nasty, well-fed cat from the neighbour's yard stalk and kill tiny blue wrens in my garden. :-(

Thirdly, if You RuthC want me to withdraw it, I can easily do it (just ask about it), since I`m a lawyer and may predict that after such non positive and unfounded comment I`ll took a low place in this particular challenge.

And finally, I begin to think, that we understand the word "wild" a bit differently. I guess in Australia there are more "real" wild animals like kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles, tigers, etc. While in Eastern Europe we are used to call "wild" those less "sophisticated" wild animals, like wild dogs or wild cats.

But again, this challenge is about hunting and my photo represents more wild hunting than just a wild cat.

Yours sincerely,
Alexander

Dear RuthC,

Firstly, You might have seen it in previous challenges, but in this particular challenge there is no rule like "Do not submit shots used in previously completed DPReview.com challenges".

Secondly, I`m almost tired of trying to explain that it WAS a wild cat, because it was shoot in forest outside of city (Vilnius) limits, hunting other wild forest species to stay alive because that cat hadn`t had any owners. Of course it could be a domestic cat, but I`m not sure, because there were no "evidence" that it had owners. All I know is that it behaved like a wild one.
When You were talking about evidence, You could give a link, cause it`s not very fare to accuse somebody, then he is not guilty at all. It`s also hard to negotiate. I assume, You meant some other black cats, for example with food near head - it had a white spot on it`s nose and it was shoot in other city (Nida) or other similar black cats.

Wow, that is the rare case when sample entry is actually so sophisticated, intelligent and perfect for the challenge, that it`s hard to imagine other winning photo...

This handmade canon is worth more than real one. Your daughter is great!

But I would`t eat this cake to maintain it as a piece of art;)

Alexander Shp: Well, I don`t think that these people are extremely popular (as a photo subject) among photographers. I guess, it is more difficult to visualize (in more or less intelligent/adorable way) their nature or beauty (or whatever) than, for example, beauty of poor people or naked woman.
So, in a certain sense this challenge is too tough...

Thanks ConanFuji, You developed "my statement" in the way I meant it. I can only add a few things;)
Firstly, in my country naked women usually don`t like to comment their sexual orientation. Basically, we are used to presume, that people are "normal". Nothing personal, I just try be more clear and simple to avoid unnecessary questions or comments.
Secondly, I agree that "...will not have any issues with regards to snapping and capturing the nature and beauty of any subject...", although I hardly imagine myself being walking around and asking people before or after photo shooting, something like "Are You LGB?":D In this case I`m not a professional, but this challenge is still a real "challenge" and could lead to a new and interesting experience. So, host definitely had good intentions, but I don`t think were would be too many entries. I hope I`ll be wrong.

Disappointment...

Why?
Because we have here:
1.Phase Detect = not bad;
2.Price = not good;
3.Basically nothing more or less interesting...
