Very impressed so far. Other sites have shown comparison with Canon35/1.4 L and the Sigma betters it many ways. So far no comparisons with Nikon.

oselimg: It seems like that it's possible to make good lenses for a reasonable price. Are you listening Canon, Nikon, Zeiss, Leica!!!!?. I hope someone will do the same with cameras too, especially with the FF ones.
It's no different from other men's toys.The more expensive, the more exclusive and that's what they want. Nothing wrong with that.
First non Nikon lens for me.
There must be a new body in the works to go with these expensive lenses.

I was very excited at first, BUT from previews, the biggest failure is the AF system.
Does this apply to North American bodies too or should I wait for Nikon USA/Canada ?

Photomonkey: Heck, they all look very good. Short of a print at 40x60 inches viewed at one foot I would doubt one could see meaningful differences.

Thanks for your impressions. I'm a bit disappointed that Nikon could only match the D3s performance in general with a few added features but the AF sounds amazing.
Despite this, I look forward to my D4 next week.
I too am anxiously awaiting the review. I'm torn between the V1 and NEX-7. The 7 gets my vote now and is on order, but as a Nikon shooter it would be great if the V1 shines. The current V1 users sound happy with their decision but so too are the Sony shooters.
I'm hoping the DPreview is objective and help me decide.
The V1 3" screen has 921K-dots according to Nikon's site, not 460K as listed above.
