New Flickr 1 Terabyte Storage

It's now been four days since the Flickr redesign â?? what works and what doesn't?

On May 20th, Yahoo! unveiled a radical new redesign of Flickr, including not just a visual overhaul, but offering all users 1TB of free space, and with a new pricing structure. The days that followed have been met with some jubilant applause over the redesign, and some frustration over pricing and features. Now that the dust has settled, we want to know our readers' thoughts.

Sick of lending your camera to people and having the shot turn out bad? Samsung's got the fix

Getting a friend or stranger to take your photo can be something of a crapshoot. You have no idea of how good they are at composing, or even basics like making sure the subject is in focus. But a new patent from Samsung could allow you to do much of the legwork first, and make sure that someone else taking your photo comes out well.

Help fund this incredible camera hitting the road

About a year ago, we covered a project from Duke University to create 50-gigapixel camera. Dubbed AWARE-2, it shot with an array of 98 14-megapixel sensors through a single, 16mm aperture lens, which were stitched into one big gigapixel photograph. Now, that incredible camera is ready to hit the road, with some funding help from Kickstarter.

Adobe has picked up the mobile app company to make apps for Behance

Late last year, Adobe purchased Behance, an online portfolio site for artists which has now been tapped to power the social side of Adobe Cloud. Now, Adobe has purchased another company specifically for making apps with Behanc: the company has picked up mobile app developers Thumb Labs, who created the official mobile app for Behance, and will now be solely working on Adobe projects.

Rather than a GIF, this concept camera makes little flipbooks

The GIF-TY is a concept camera by designer Jiho Jang that's designed to capture a few seconds of images, and print them into a tiny flipbook. It's like an animated .gif that you can hold.

The concept is extremely simple: You set a timer on the top, the camera records a burst of images from 1-5s, and then those are printed off using "Zero-ink" technology. Then you'd clip the ribbon of images down to the right size, and assemble them into a flipbook.

What better surface for taking a tintype photo than a salvaged tin can?

Photographer David Emitt Adams has taken a uniquely historical approach to photography with his "Conversations with History" series of images. He's using an incredibly old technique (wet-plate collodion) on old objects (tin cans found in Arizon desert) as a way of commenting on the history of photography and the region.

Adams is a native to Arizona, and looked to create a dialogue about the history of photography in the area, as well as the impact of humans on the once empty desert. In his artist's statement, he said:
