Havent been able to do this with my DSLR but have gotten great results with my olympus XZ1. Fast autofocus but more inportantly much great DOF. BobThis hoverfly is about 1/8th of an inch!

Taken with my D3100 with 30mm prime and 36mm of ext. tubes. Im amazed at the way the drops resist spreading out on this leaf! Bob
