I had the same problem at first.  I think the trick was to turn off the other menus for the mode in which you want to use it.

The reference shots of OMD EM-5 vs. GH2 would suggest it, but the camera doesn't make the photo -- the photographer does.  I like your shots quite a lot, by the way.

I've left IS in default mode, and I've also noticed less of the problem in low light with slower shutter speeds, so you might be onto something here.

It's not my favorite lens, either. I've got the Panasonic 20mm on my wish list. Not the same focal length, but I would use them similarly.

Thanks for the tip.  I did know that the brown leaves should be out of focus in this shot.  I was referring to some blur in the yellow leaves, which are in focus but not as sharp as I had expected.
