such a camera would have an audience but its a matter of time before sony or someone else makes a ff mirrorless. when that happens, im not sure if a rangefinderless leica could be compete.
yeah rangefinder is still there.
i guess the best way to do it would be buy online and have it sent to an adress in ny, than pick it up when im there, spend a week taking photos and come back. sounds good. :)
i understand that but buying locally is not an option. tax is way too high and the service is not there to justify it.
but the whole 19% is not refunded right?
hello. until now i thought buying a leica product from usa was the cheapest way. but now that im making a comparison with the tax included, it seems like usa prices are not better at all for me?...
kind of surprised that the highest point of germany is just 3000m. :/ learned something today.
well if this is my dream camera, it doesnt need AF :)
my ideal camera is the new leica M. they made the perfect camera for me. compact and durable body/lenses - checkmanual aperture and shutter dial - check real rangefinder for street and travel...

do people still use watches? its mostly a fashion accessory now. smartphones killed that too :)
how does a niche save the compact camera?
i dont thing average consumer is really fixated on sensor size. its a matter of convenience. smartphone camera is just there and its good enough for facebook photos.
why do sony jpeg always have that blotchy look to them? i know the raw files are probably very impressive but why sony? why dont you have good jpegs?
assuming you are familiar with using live view and evf from GH2 and you prefer a more compact system. i think it would be a very good move. if you shooted more action, that would be a different...
im in a similar situation and im leaning towards the M to be honest. why am i leaning toward M?24mp may not be exactly on par with 18mp monochrom sensor but its not that far off either. of course...
courtyard basketball photo is really great.
its good to finally see the results. excellent as expected.m9 sensor is ancient :) why even compare to that?
i liked all of them but first one is especially great.
thanks for the reply.
so resolution-wise 24mp is not exactly in the monochrom territory.
i wonder why leica didn't go for a higher mp count like d800.
