  • No.
  • I have both the F70-210 and the HD 55-300. I like them both. One advantage the F70-210 might have is a very nice bokeh. It is not as busy as that of the 55-300.
  • Nice shots, really like the Gorilla portrait. Have not been to the zoo since Patches went on exhibit. Looking forward to the new polar bear habitat.
  • Are they serving drinks at the K-3 booth?
  • Replied in Harbourfront
Nice, if it was me there would be some camera shake from the shivering.
  • Thanks to all for answering my dense, forum noob questions. I'm just trying to learn the camera and it is interesting to see how different folks use theirs. I'll assign a button to the crop mode ...
  • I guess I could have asked the question more directly, is there a difference in image quality in shooting crop mode vs cropping in post process. I would not suppose so. It makes sense that crop ...
  • I guess I still don't understand the purpose of these crop modes. What is the difference between shooting in crop mode and cropping a normal full size image in post processing? It seems like the ...
  • For what it is worth, I just got a Ricoh GR from Davis Max thru Amazon. I was lucky, the transaction was fast and smooth. I usually do not gamble like that. Most all of my new photography ...
  • Just curious, have you tried any DSLRs? Or is that too much gear to lug around?
  • Have not had random blurry shots using RAW. Do not shoot jpegs very often.
  • Thanks for doing the leg work on this, I pulled the trigger after reading of your success. Extremely fast shipping, got it today and everything looks fine;)
  • Gordy's confirmed to me that they had been hacked. They are working on it. Do not download any application from their site.
  • Be careful with the Gordy website, I think it has been hacked. I probably got the Smart Guard Protection virus from visiting it. It made me download (stupid on my part) Flash Player to be able to ...
  • I have yet to shoot a jpeg with my K-3 and I may never do so. However, there are folks that will, more power to them. It's their choice. Ed was not telling people to shoot jpegs, the print he ...
  • I am using the RRS L bracket that I had for my K-5 on the K-3 but it is not a perfect fit. It does not sit as nicely on the plate for the K-3. Rather then spend money on another plate I took a ...
  • It would not be for action, portraits or weddings. I would mostly use it for landscapes or travel. On a tripod a good deal of the time. Slap a ND 10 filter on and play. Abstract details. Maybe ...
  • Thanks for the replies. I'm not in a hurry on this, down the line it would be nice to be able to throw an spare body in the bag when going to out of the ordinary places. So taking up less space ...

Hi, I am looking for a backup to a K-3. Smaller, that has focus peaking and that can use K mount lenses. Anybody have experience using both these cameras that would like to compare them? Thanks, Steve
  • Thanks, the download site did the trick. They didn't exactly make it easy to find
