On Canon EOS 6D Hands-on Preview (1035 comments in total)

It's really interesting that it does Wi-Fi, but it is sad that the review does not say much about it.

It probably supports infrastructure networks, but does it support ad hoc?

What encryption protocols does it support? WEP? WPA?

It probably supports some proprietary protocol for file transfer, but does it support standard ones like ftp and sftp? If it is proprietary, will Linux be supported?

Can we select the types of files to transfer? (like send the JPGs but keep the RAWs and .MOV on card only)

Can we select the files that are to be transfered by wifi manually?

How easy is it to setup hostname, username and password?

I've got a contract where I will make a script that receives, modifies (adding a frame) and prints the pictures automatically on a linux workstation. I will be doing it on my 5D Mark II with a Eye-Fi sdcard in a flashcard converter. Sadly, there's no way I'll be able to preselect the picture from the camera.

After reading review I don't know if 6D would help me.
