On article Nikon announces SB-910 high-end Speedlight (118 comments in total)

LOL.
I hoped they will do water resistand flash, but instead they tweak SB-900 a little. This can be done by firmware update...

CAClark: This would make a nice wide angle on MFT with an adapter I reckon, not least on account of the really keen pricing point.

There is Samyang 7.5mm lens for MFT

On article Report: Sigma at PPE 2011 (13 comments in total)

Foveon is not cool. Canon and Nikon wont do this.
Foveon looses in terms of color accuracy, the color itself on high iso, noise at high iso, speed of reading data, and bits per pixel. It only wins at slight resolution increase - which is not sufficient as resolution is already high and we are looking at whole picture, not pixel-peep.

Jens_G: Please explain to me how a 13.2mm x 8.8mm sensor is a 1" sensor? The diagonal definitely isn't close to an inch.

35mm is called because of perforated film, which has 35mm height. It is not related to frame width.
This sensor is 1" because these are vidicon inches, not imperial inches

Will it have stereographic projection (like Samyang 8/3.5) or standart one?

Please implement 1/2 EV steps...
and ability to view resulting exposition in M mode WITHOUT half-press.

Zebooka: The interesting thing is about brand. Who will retain rights for Pentax name? Will Richo use Pentax name, or will it use own?

I should read comments before posting...
They both will use Pentax name.

Niche: Hmmm. I'm 63 years old but I still enjoy hiking and backpacking. My D300 plus 17-55 2.8, a decent macro & medium range tele weighs around 12 pounds.

If I can get an equivalent kit with this little camera that weighs around 3 pounds, I'm very, very interested.

I don't think Pentax meant it as a replacement for a DSLR. But it sure might be a fine little low volume, low weight addition to a DSLR shooter's main kit.

Go buy Canon S95, Panasonic LX5 or Olympus XZ-1.
All are great cameras.

You have wrong versions for Pentax. They have 1.10 firmware versions, not 1.01
