About me:

Learn how to use and minipulate my cameras (C-2100, C-5050, C-8080, E-300, E-1 and LX3). I use to be an active hobbyist using a Canon AE-1. I plan to use the camera every other day and have at least one photograph per week I am satisfied with.

  • I am a stills photographer. This is where Fuji excels. I want to join the 21st century and expand into hybrid photography. Why do I have to do this with Panasonic equipment? 4K video would be nice. ...
  • First, welcome to the Fuji forum. Right now I am only a RN. You have some nice kit. Some thoughts from somebody who doesn't do what you are doing. At least I am starting the responses. You have the ...
  • Replied in S or T?
Wait long enough and everything will appear on ebay or craigslist. Consider the opportunity cost of waiting for the price to come down. All those great moments not captured because you were waiting ...
  • Fuji can do weddings. Can YOU? I am so blown away that Kevin Mullins responded to this discussion.  You have inspired me to challenge myself in a slightly different photographic realm. I have ...
  • Buy the lenses and they will throw the body in for a couple of hundred bucks! Have the XPro. Have the 35. Have the X100S. For me, purchasing this bundle and then reselling the XPro and the 35 would ...
  • KEH sells used gear in NYC. Then there is always craigslist. Martin
  • Replied in Good Idea
My sense is DPReview is behind on their reviews already. Going back and assessing the new FW update would be lovely. I am not holding my breathe. Marty

When in doubt, buy glass. Glass is forever.
  • I use the hood and forget about the lens cap. I have a dust cloth I use when I take the camera out. The lens hood not only acts as a hood but also protects the lens. The Fuji lens is outrageously ...
  • No! I use the right too for the right job. If I am walking the street it is the X100S. As an alternative I will put the 35 on. When I am taking portraits it is the 56. If I am going to a festival ...
  • Replied in X-E1 vs X-E2
Brian: I don't know who can help you on this forum. What kind of photography do you intend to pursue? Who much do you have for body, lenses, tripod/monopod? Flash gear? I can not say. Look at the ...
  • Love how you captured the light that makes the man (because of his white uniform reflect the light into the woman) and the couple pop. The dark surrounding helps with this too. You captured the ...
  • Replied in Zuiko 75mm
I have the 75 and it is a lovely lens. That being said, it is my least used lens. I am primarily a street shooter. To me, that translates to FF equivalent 28-50 range. The 75 fov is way too narrow ...

Penpix is right about weight. Let me beat Ryan 2007 and suggest the Panasonic LX100. It is light. It is pocketable. It has a full size m43 sensor. It has a nice Leic designed variable lens (24-60 ...
  • You have received good advice. I have all three lenses. The 35 is much more versatile. You will probably get more use out of the 35 during the wedding. That being said, I'd go with the 56. Since ...
  • As Jean Pierre wrote, "When m4/3 camera owners win the top spots in contests, the main reason is that they are talented people. So they should be congratulated." IT IS NOT THE CAMERA THAT WON. IT ...
  • Replied in I Can't See It
The new Fuji 90m f 2 is receiving good reviews. What is the purpose of this new lens? It is slower and manual focus vs. the Fuji 90mm lens. It is more expensive. In ff terms it is 15mm longer. Does ...
  • I have the opposite problem from Ed. My X100S is HARD to turn on and off. Am thinking of spraying the switch with wd50. Any other ideas? Martin Psychiatric Nurse & Street Photographer
  • I have the Fuji X100S which is pretty close to the X100T. I shoot more micro 43s than Fuji. Much has been written about the video of the Panasonic. Though it doesn't have a headphone jack nor the ...
