Digital Photographer has an interview with the man himself. Uk mag, but may be available digitally.
Brief glimpse into the article.

Have you sought out the F42? I've two, with my A55, and never had a single issue. Otherwise, Metz and Nissin have ttl/wireless compatible flashes for a less than a new F43.

Jack,
Not sure this lens has ever had IS built in. Mine certainly lacks it.

No-one asked where the camera owner is? That lioness looks to be well fed!

Welcome, and can I say how refreshing it is to find someone not pushing a friend into their own brand, but being open to alternatives.
Firstly, I'm an A55 shooter, but after shooting with other...

Believe David Thewliss is the orginal character - and character is certainly what you've bought to the table Brian.Great inspiration as it's a style I'm attempting with some of my own shots...

Really love the William H Macy shot Brian - wonderful humour!

I've one at work, There are cheaper ones with moulded everything, plastic liner etc, but the better ones have very realistic detailing. People kept thinking I'd left lenses around the office!

Can I ask why you're choosing Metz? Is it price? I'd suggest a second F58, possibly F42 due to guaranteed compatibility between the units, especially wirelessly.

Seems about right, if out of warranty.I'm waiting for a response from my insurance company regarding a repair on an F42. Sony want me to hand over £355 to repair it, or £54 if they don't....

We have very few independent stores now, and ironically, Jessops was the death of them. Much like Asda/Walmart appearing on the high street and diverting customers from the small, specialist shops,...

Not so sure I'd go for the 3600/F36. Had one, sold it as soon as my first F42 came along. I could not cope with having no control over the flash power level and that would prove...

Hi Kally and ouch on the budget.Normally I'd suggest the F43 or second hand F42 to start with, preferably two. Full compatibility, wireless etc. But even getting mine during sales, still took just...

Isn't the green lamp just stating that the flash is ready to use, ie, fully powered?
