Pentax_Prime: Where is the confirmation of a FF K-mount? Nothing in the news release, your article, your links, anywhere.

cgarrard: When, in the last 5 years I've been ignoring you, did you think I started caring about you and/or your opinion? I'm not impressed - never was - child.

Only 10hrs late; and yeah, I've been shooting Pentax since most of you were getting your turds wiped outta your pants. I'll believe it when it's for sale.

I don't think you'd know a press release from a circus clown. That is a DPR writeup without a link, official press release, or anything that looks like it wasn't taken from PentaxForums.com

Living in the Washington state area = not a good reason to be included on DPR. These are pretty amateur shots with very little composition or context of value ... and yeah, the bokeh is junk. I've shot roller derby a handful of times and these are filler/throwaways.

On Did Amazon just patent the seamless background setup? article (133 comments in total)

Vague and impossible to enforce. Also fails the patent test for combination of art elements to produce a result obvious to someone of moderate skill in, this case, photography/lighting. See "Anderson’s-Black Rock, Inc. v. Pavement Salvage Co., 396 U.S. 57, 163 USPQ 673 (1969)". The diagram and description is a convenience, not an invention.

Pentax_Prime: Websites based in the United States should probably work a little bit to give prices in DOLLARS. Just a thought.

You need some work on your monetary conversions. The pound is actually equal to 1.6 US Dollars - meaning the prices are not going to look anything alike.

Tord S Eriksson: Well, I was impressed by the ease the camera handled colours in low light, and the very subdued noise, no matter what setting! The rest (choice of subjects, and so on) wasn't so impressive.

Oh, I wish you had had Steve Huff to take the photos, someone with a little imagination, outside the box. 50 pictures taken in neon light doesn't say more than a handful, but some portraits, close-ups, in short something interesting, had been appreciated!

The photos of the Jack Daniels guy going through the motions made my day, while those of our four-legged hoofed friends were the worst I've seen in a long time!

Shawn: Do something different - there are plenty who would prefer to see shallow DOF shots of the bus aisle than the infinity DOF stuff you provided here. The primary difference between FF and APS-C sensors today is the DOF; the one shot that did have shallow DOF doesn't even have EXIF ....

Pentax_Prime: Posting articles like this on your main news page is destroying your credibility as an actual photography site. There is nothing 'must have' about any of this junk.

Editing camera phone pictures is like putting new tires on a POS car ... it's a waste of time. The real advantage of editing is to make a great image even better ... not to save some junk cell-phone pictures and post them on Instagram.

You know what they say - there is a 20-year-old pretentious Hipster born every minute. But where can they get a Petzval-esque brass case for their wayfarers and Instagram-'photo'-filled celly?!?!

Direct link | Posted on Jul 26, 2013 at 20:34 UTC as 20th comment

So much for 'reasonably priced'; I'd have a real tough time spending $1300 for anything from Rokinon/Samyang/whatever-brand-they-are-using-today. Definitely 'cheap' compared to some of the alternatives, but very much a high priced speciality item.
