Well, I disagree, I think it is great picture ;-)
Love the way the light is on those tulips
I'm also well pleased with how well the D7100 can shoot at higher ISO. I don't push it all the way to...

This is probably just the same as the "multiple exposure" feature on the D90.
One person two shots!

For me the shadow is something that makes that scene unusual and somehow interesting. A wide angle landscape shot needs something in the foreground and this is a bit of a twist on that old adage

I have the Sigma 17-50 OS 2.8. Yes indeed a very good zoom. Quite happy with that one!
I also compared it to the new 17-70 C version and while the 17-70 was slightly better at 50 and obviously...

Large Bee Fly
I posted this shot already this week, but I liked the result and thought I'd see how it does here.
The plant is called Hänsel and Gretel here in Austria it blossoms in blue and pink...

Thank you! I liked it too :-) Obviously the voters didn't agree for whatever reason. Not quite what sure happend with the voting here? It was placed even below all the blurry and badly composed...

This one's great. Nice use of B&W, good perspective, lots of drama, interesting building,...

Great shot, I am also more than happy with that combo; the 70-200/F4 is sharp and focusses fast. feels very well made, and is not too heavy. Combined with the Sigma 17-50/OS you get a great sharp...

I have many Nikkor lenses,...In this particular case Nikon does not offer a lens that compares favourably to the 17-50 /2.8 OS from Sigma.
Sigma are filling the gaps that Nikon has created!
In this...

A compact like the Canon G7 or my new G15 are both "enthusuiast's compacts" with nearly all the manual controls you would expect to see on a DSLR, you can adjust ISO, FL, WB, ... and aperture down...

When you consider that the final output is "only" a relatively low res video (even in full HD), a compact camera is perfectly adequat for time lapse. I use my old canon G7 connected to a laptop via...

Yes, 2 parallel threads like that sounds perfect, plenty of time and no "stress" at all

I also have the Marumi DHG Cirlular polarizer, very good!
However, maybe you could consider getting a slightly bigger one, say 72mm . My thinking is that if you buy other lenses in the future...

I asked over in the nature Forum and found out that it is actually a "large bee fly". You can see some side shots of the same fellow in my gallery.
Reading these horror stories in this thread of 10...

Lovely photo thanks but this is a different fellow.
Mine turned out to be a "Large Bee-fly, Bombylius major"
-
Thanks :-)
it was fun taking them; had to be patient though, waiting for him to finally pose nicely.
-
Yes exactly , Thanks, that's him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombylius_major
He flies with the long beak extended all the time and darts about feeding on the nektar just like the bees, getting...

I like this one , nice gentle colours, and soft pleasing background. Reminds me of some of the examples Sue Bishop Shows in her various books on photographing flowers.
It's definitely the dreamy...
