i think it's a limitation of their exposure tables for A and P modes, in S and M modes you can set 1/4000 with F2.0
so to put it correctly they retard the exposure tables to protect sales of the...

nice crisp clean images. i really like the composition on the 3rd image with the purple flowers. just catches my gaze. :) thanks for that.

i love the texture and feel of the whole image. I have to say x20 RAW shots are really impressive

try disabling OVF power save mode in the menu. then the exposure information (aperture, shutter speed) will always show

OMG PROMISE BREAKERS PROMISE BREAKERS

OMG PROMISE BREAKERS PROMISE BREAKERS i'm sorry but not really. i just feel as dumb as perhaps you might be for partaking in the madness, again apologies but not really

OMG x20 is junk compared to RX100 i mean obviously

OMG x20 is junk compared to RX100 i mean obviously life is based on bullet point comparisons end of story can't believe anyone can think otherwise

i think that's the only point people are trying to make. It'll make beautiful pictures in any and all situations but clearly fujifilm cameras aren't tailored around landscape camera requirements....

If you are open to experimenting with different software to manage this annoyance about FF cameras, you can use the import tool in Adobe Lightroom to format the filename as it copies the image to...

i don't have a real photographic background, but i have heard that fuji tends to overexpose in dark, indoor lighting type conditions.
in my own experience with the X10 and X100s I'd say I agree,...

my x10 does the same, i don't see any change for the first few degrees of zooming above 28. and halfway before 35 it'll start to move. so as long as it feels smooth i think you're probably ok.

One thing that seems to have improved greatly is AF in OVF mode with power save mode enabled. It's pretty snappy even though it needs to open the shutter, meter the scene, and find focus. Cool!
-
quick test on my own from 1.01 to 1.02 also reveals much lower chance and/or smaller range of hunting when focusing on roughly the same area. AF acts a lot more logically now.

I agree, it would be nice if it worked like this.
-
i like your processing, very clean, sharp, vivid. thanks for sharing
-
lol, if there's one thing fujifilm knows as well as they know image processing and color management
:D
edit: not always unnecessary tho
-
Wow, thank you for sharing!
I love how you manage the sharpness and smoothness of these images, it is amazing

some people greatly prefer the x100 JPEG color and/or the general appearance of Bayer RAW, to the point of abandoning the x100s. so, with time you could convince yourself the x100 is the better...
