Personally I'm considering this lens as a telephoto solution. 135mm is enough for me and I can leave the normal zoom at home as well. I hope with the 14mm together, it will be a nice landscape package. I'm looking forward to the reviews.
ludwik123: Are these made by Samsung or by Sony ?
Jogger, this is likely true, but the question is, are these electronics are unique to Leica or the same as one of the Sony/Samsung/whatever which is already out there.
I only know what is in this article. However if they use the same parts as Sony or Samsung and only the cosmetic is different then I guess they would not assemble themselves. But I do not know for sure.
The article sais that it is assembled in Germany, so it should be a Leica product.
The first Canon camera I'm interested in in the last 10 years :) This is how a compact camera should look like in today's market.
Probably the first mirrorless WA with reasonable pricing. Well done Canon!
900 USD?? That is insane...
Could be my next purchase, I hope there will be a complete review soon :)
For me Fuji was the pleasant suprise and th lack of APS/DX product is the big disappointment. Good coverage, now I look forward to the reviews :)
PatMann: How about some fast wide primes for Nikon DX? Even AF would be OK. Nikon's not doing it. How about an 18 f/2, a 23 f/1.4?Customers waiting.
It is simple, an FX lens on DX has different field of view, so it becomes a different lens. I would want an 20mm equivalent and not a 20mm lens for DX. There is a big difference between the two.
