Probably the first mirrorless WA with reasonable pricing. Well done Canon!

While I feel for your situation, I would buy/rent a lens for this trip. Even if it is a cheaper one or not up to the 24-70 level, it will be better then using your cellphone. If this is a big trip,...

900 USD?? That is insane...

If you do long hikes, weight is very important. Also the lenses you consider are high quality, so I see no reason why you should stay with the heavy kit. Get light and enjoy your trips more!

For me the D300 offers everything I need, so no plan to upgrade. Only thing would make me consider if Nikon would do the same in a noticable smaller/lighter package. I would now spend my money on...

Could be my next purchase, I hope there will be a complete review soon :)

So you are saying that having a full lineup of lenses for DX is a bad thing for Nikon? Both pro and consumer, both zoom and prime?Nikon's main business is DX cameras at the moment andĀ all kind of...

We do not even have a complete DX lens lineup and I'm not talking about small lenses, but lenses in general. DX is in serious trouble if Nikon will not start make serious moves in this segment...

I'm in the same shoes, I love my D300, but missing lensesĀ plus size and weight are my issues with it. I personally do not care about a D400 as I have no intention to upgrade the body, the D300 has...

I have a 9 months old boy and I use the 35mm f1.8 DX lens 95% of the time. It has great IQ, it is cheap, it is small and I find the focal lenght good for indoor shots. Outdoors I switch to the 50mm...

Hi,I definitely suggest the Citadella during and after sunset. It is on top of the mountains in the Buda side and you can have a very nice view of the river and the city and it looks cool when all...

It helps a lot, thanks for the detailed answer.Regarding lenses, Fuji releases just the ones I need. I would start with the zoom and add the 14mm and the 60 macro as finances allow, this is already...

I'M not worrried about those. I do not need the fastest AF, also since the jpegs are really good, I can shoot both format and for important pics, I will use future software :)
Thanks for your input!

Hi,I've been a Nikon user since the D70, at the beginning I did sports photography (ice hockey) and loved the Nikon system, I had the pro zooms (17-55 and 70-200 VR) and other lenses as well. I...

For me Fuji was the pleasant suprise and th lack of APS/DX product is the big disappointment. Good coverage, now I look forward to the reviews :)

The last sentence is the key, I mean the bulky one. I understand that there are some big FX lenses that can work, but a DX one would be better due to size. What I also do not understand is that no...

I think it is lack of interest from Nikon point of view. I do not understand why, I would never buy the 10-24 zoom or the 12-24, I want a prime. It is smaller and better quality and when you do...

It is simple, an FX lens on DX has different field of view, so it becomes a different lens. I would want an 20mm equivalent and not a 20mm lens for DX. There is a big difference between the two.

He is called Thom (not Tom) and he is earning his money selling the books and not from the clicks.

You mean the old AF 70-210 f4? I had it and quickly sold it. It was not a good lens, not really sharp, lots of CA and the contrast was not that good. I think you will be better served with the...
