Gunther35 Aloha and thank you for posting your comments--organized, on topic and to the point. The type of comment that is needed on any camera forum. Agree or not, you have given clear and...

The sensor size is appropriate, the return of the VF is welcome, as is the articulated screen.
But the burst mode is a joke. It used to be Canon that didn't care about burst mode in their consumer...

Thanks, Jim,
I will give it a look. I just downloaded a new beta versioin of Adobe DNG Converter (v8.2). It seems to do a better job than v8.1, which I was...

Sherm,
Thanks for the suggestion. I did something with UFRaw a couple of years back, and for some reason I didn't like it; I'll revisit it.

I'm afraid part of my previous post was ambiguous.
All I want to do is find a converter that will read RW2 files and translate them into TIFF or other non-lossy format, in a batch process. Adobe...

Thanks, Castaway.
Like you, I prefer to avoid the "cloud". I have tried successive iterations of PSE and the changes are definitely not upgrades. I started with PSE6; 7 & 8 made no changes that...

Good question; there are several answers.
RW2 is evolving and the RW2 from one type or generation of Lumix cameras is different from the next. Some PP programs can read one type of RW2 but not...

X-S1 2/3in sensor: better IQ than FZ150 1/2.3in sensor?
I like the FZ150 for many things, including good IQ considering the size of its sensor.
Years ago I had the Fuji S100, and when I look...

Years ago I had the Fuji S100, and when I look at the images, in many cases it's evident that the 2/3in...

In many states that is illegal. Consumer fraud is one term that is often used. Doesn't sound like such a good company to deal with.

" Pentax as it is 35mm equivalent 24mm - 140mm where as the panasonic is 29mm - 108mm"
Go with the 24-140mm. You are getting more at both ends--why limit yourself? And unless you never come up...

I would urge you to buy from Amazon instead. Olympus has terrible customer service and even for buying accessories they are very unresponsive. No one has a better return policy than Amazon: 30...

Gotta say, I'm with HowaboutRAW on this one. CCD sensors were terribly slow with RAW, but not CMOS. Pany FZ150 shoots RAW at 5.5fps for 12-15 frames, and write time isn't bad. Same tiny sensor...

Experience with tg-1: I had it and sent it back to Amazon. See Amazon 3-star review "It is what it is." Basic problems: erratic AF, noisy and/or grainy images, arbitrary sharpening, severe...

There is something wrong with people who get something for nothing (in this case, free product reviews PLUS a free bulletin board to inform the world of their opinions) and complain about it. You...

DSLR substitute? Not by any stretch. True, a 1/1.8in sensor is larger than the sensor on the FZ150, FZ200 and FZ60, but it's long way from an APS-C size.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
