Where's the D4? It is my Favorite, as a rugged, dependable camera with great high ISO and dynamic range performance.
Nice that the D4 shoots in the dark. But how well does it hold highlights?
Just an outstanding shot in composition and timing! A well-deserved win!
Great image, spirit. Well done!
So--how is anyone to determine whether this is a man or woman? This image is completely ambiguous.
Sorry, Scooper1, but a travertine terrace, with no sky, etc. is hardly a "landscape." This is well-composed, and a really nice shot--and a nice change from the slot canyons!!!!!!! Thank you for submitting!
Yep. In the opinion of challenge host, fossils ARE part of the patterns and textures of sediments, and of the planet's geology. Nice work. Thanks!
This image, more than many others that received complaints as "landscapes", really shows pattern and texture of the earth and its processes. The slot canyons are in many ways just smaller versions of this larger work of the river. In my opinion as challenge host, this image is all about pattern, not just landscape--although, in truth, landscapes are also about pattern--but not just geologic pattern. A well-composed image--with a different perspective on a frequently-photographed locale. Thanks!
This is really a nice take on the forms of an ammonite! Maybe we should do a "Fossils" challenge. Thanks for a new perspective on ammonites!
Wonderful colors and comp--like waves! Thanks for submitting!
Beautifully composed, with colors that set it apart from most Page,AZ/slot canyon images. Well Done!
