William Woodruff: Congratulations Wifred, you are the actual winner of this challenge! The first three submissions were all made by the same person, and they scored higher than you because that person entered numerous fraudulent votes. Your photo placed highest among the honest entries. So, again, congratulations, sorry you got cheated out of the official win that you deserved.
Thanks for your kind words.Yeah, the second image also has more then "a flower", which I interpret as one single flower, and should have been DQ'ed.However, I must say I do like the winning picture.
Wildbegonia: Nice and cleaver.
barb_s: Simple, and the lighting or shadowing, played nicely. Well done!
yeah, sandbagging, so childish
I have cast over 12000 votes already, and gave a half-star maybe 10 times only. Most people play fair, though.
thanks!but at least 2 voters thought it is absolute rubbish ...
jezsik: Congratulations! Nice use of gradating background.
thanks - it is actually a white wall, but with gradated lighting
In the diagram "Viewing - mirror down" the light path inside the pentaprism is shown incorrectly; it shows one reflection too many.
cinemascope: Very nice!
thanks - she is my wife, standing near the exit of our wet market
No articulated LCD?No automatic lens barrier?
Waaaay to many entries - I feel sorry for the guys who go shuffled to the last few pages.100 is more than enough!
Only 4 days left - what's the deal with "uploading native image resolution"?Is it okay to set the camera to a more reasonable low resolution, like 4MP?
"Submissions should be uploaded as native image resolution."
Do we really have to upload 20MP, 24MP or even 36MP images? Can I set my camera to a lower resolution?
l_objectif: I am sorry, but this kind of themes are only for a very small group of people!... Do I have to buy a ticket to India and be there at night to participate in this challenge?... really!
This is a website with worldwide readership. There are almost 1 billion people in India, and some 3 million people visit the Taj Mahal every year.I don't think this is a small group of people.
Mutaz: too many rules, I feel like in a school, and why we are not allowed to use watermarks ?
I agree with all the rules, they are all very reasonable and not restrictive at all. It just looks overwhelming - that's why some people complain.I think most of your rules should be made general for all challenges. After that the individual challenges would have only a few specific rules.
5 days already, still no explanation. Most of us actually spend quite some time and effort to shoot these pictures and upload them, so it would be really nice to find out why a particular entry got rejected.
Dear host, please comment.
Wilfried HKG: Hmmm ... I got DQ'ed, but without explanation. My capture date was clearly correct, it was in the morning, it was through the window, and the (half open) window frame was in the picture.I'm confused.Dear host, please give me a hint what I did wrong.
Still no explanation for the DQ? It would be basic courtesy by the host.

yes, should be okay - "G" for gross
these are grapes, not grapefruit - nice lighting, though :)
