I'd like to see how much of a difference the just released firmware for the international versions of the HTC One would fair. It's suppose to improve noise reduction and speed.
-
Well the previous 14-140mm was more of a video oriented lens(hence being the standard kit option on the GH1/2). All of this would be impressive if this is still is video focused(i.e. quiet AF).

Revenant has a good point, but there are some key difference there that Panasonic can't implement. You have to remember the OMD has a 5-axis IS system while the lower end models have a more...

I noticed it is smaller than the Sony SLT A35/37(and may complained they were compact for an DSLR as the grip was small), but it's barley lighter than the A35. Those cameras already feel pretty...

Sweet, Sunset near Highland, and I can see the In N' Out in the background. I also stopped by the race, but that was because up the street from me near Rodeo Drive.

Really like the 100-300mm APO(I think D variant) that I have, and would agree a modern version of this would be pretty nice. Really, like it more than Sony and regular Sigma 75-300mm I have tested.

Which discontinued Minolta(or 3rd party one) would like to see be made again? I personally would like to see the 35-700mm f4 be made again; but, have a close minimal focus distance. Having it go to...

I think 28mm is a bit to short of street photography, as 35mm is would be a bit better choice. Plus, ovf/evf can come more in hand for street than just a screen.

I take it you don't shoot with either Sony SLT or the iPhone. The only phone out now that I can think of with IS of any kind is the Nokia PureView phones like the 808 and Lumia 900. The Sony on the...

Very nice. Thank you for sharing.

I really love the colors. Thank you for the share.

Doesn't Sony's current SLT work similarly? It's in an jpeg only mode, it too takes full advantage of the AF system, I think, though it's not as many points.

Well that kind of a trick question Calxn, as at least in the case of the A57, noise at higher ISO was a bit cleaner than the A65/A77, though feature wise the A77 is the better camera. As to the...

I don't really see how this is that new since the Sony SLT have been doing something similar(1.4x crop) for a while now. And I think on the 24mp SLT models the resolution also becomes about 15mp,...

If you read the comments for the A58 post here on DPR, DPR reviewer is claiming they are replacing the A37 with this also.
-
DPR is claiming this is replacing both the A37 and A57. It would make sense to use the smaller screen, OLED EVF and same old body as before.
-
And is the AF on the A65 the same as the A57?
-
I am finding that with my A57(with any lens) that ISO 3200, and even 1600 is a bit noisier than the ISO 1600, and 3200 shots I have seen in the studio shots and user shots here on DPR. I shoot...

Yes, just look at the A99 and RX1. Sony under the Minolta buyout was required to the Minolta proprietary shoe for 6 years or so, and that just went up so now they can use the standard hot-shoe.
