Nice picture.
It may be that you could get a crisper image by stopping down to f/7.1. At the long end, this lens goes a bit soft when wide open. I have done some tests that show it improves at...

You would get better image quality from either Pany or Olympus 300mm lenses with a harder crop. Why wait?

I saw references to ACR 8 so it may well be that ACR updates for CS6 will stop sooner rather than later. Then, when you next buy a camera you are screwed... or you have to convert everything to...

I'm not an editor but "in-camera raw processing" refers to the ability to produce a jpeg from a previously recorded raw image with adjustment of processing parameters such as color temperature.
NEF...

Can't peep any pixels because you haven't allowed us to see the full sized image...

Use the DNG converter to convert your NEF files to DNG files. Then open the DNG files in CS5.

Fantastic! Love the grub too.

Your pictures are very nice and I think the OM-D is a fair step up from my G3. It has always seemed to be able to get the sharpest m43 images. The main reason that I have been looking at the D7100...

Do you really think those compare well? View them at 100%.

Enough of all this theoretical blather already! Can any m43 system do this? If so, show me.

My G3 + 100-300 can't.
This image was taken with a D7100 and...

Those harrier(?) pictures are fantastic but I'm guessing it wasn't moving very fast?
-
Don't confuse speed of focusing on a static subject with the ability to focus on a moving subject. You will be disappointed.
m43 focusing and contrast detection AF in general fail miserably with...

You also need to find the aperture where the lens is sharpest. The 100-300 at 300mm is sharpest at f/7.1 for instance. Quite a lot better than f/6.3 and a lot better than f/5.6. I have no idea...

300 f/4 + TC-14?
Super shots!

I can't help you with the ep3 and the 14-150 lens but I do use the Black Widow all the time.
I have a G3 with 14-45, 45-175 and 100-300 lenses and I use it with all of them. I works just fine. I...

Yep. The question was is the D5200 supported. It is. So you can hack the D7100 NEF and use DNG converter to get the file into CS5.
-
It is in the ACR release candidate 7.4 and DNG converter - http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/cameraraw7-4.html

Yes, you're probably right. After all, it's the centre of the image that counts and most lenses are sharper in the middle than the corners so a crop should benefit from that.
-
Your comment made me think!
Is it true that a crop sensor only looks "right down the sharp center of the lens"? I would have thought light rays from a point on the subject would pass through every...

Rudy,
Many thanks for the file. This is just the sort of shot that I am hoping to use the D7100 for.
Unfortunately, I have been scuppered by my round-about process! To process D7100 raw files I...
