Great photo - my number 1. No idea why it placed so low.

.. an excellent picture.

Not sure what the host was hoping for in this challenge with this theme but I must say that the winning shot was, a holiday snap shot (no disrespect to the togger).

This deserved much better than 7th.

Is that lizard staked down as bait for the Eagle? If so that's truly barbaric!

Thank you very much for your kind words.

I really enjoyed this one. I did a lot of the work using a brush and eyedopping the various snow tones from the road composit. I actually had to stop myself from working on it. I could have gone on and on. :)

Great idea for a Challenge.

On photo Beginning of the End in the > Recollection ( B&W ) challenge (1 comment in total)

I'm not sure if this picture has enough 'recollection' material in it have got top spot, who knows what the seated figure is thinking about, it may be 'what's for lunch?' ..... :)

.... but I think this is one of the best images I've seen on DPR; the depth, the tones, the atmosphere, the detail, the lighting, all are fantastic.

Well done.

What a shame that this beautiful ChallengeWinner has been removed from the main Finished Challenges page. War and destruction are okay, but not the naked human body?

Wonderful shot. Can you tell us if you composed this shot - arranged the dancers yourself - or if it was just opportunistic?
