I seem to live with a CV 50mm 1.5 on my M8.2 - sharp wide open for low light (if I recall correctly you have posted a number of shots in this vein) and no focus shift closed down. If you would...

To be honest no. Putting a UV filter on was second nature simply as I have always had filters on my Canon and Leica mount lenses - for protection if nothing else. I tend to remove the lens cap...

Learning to love the little X100 again. Removed the Gariz case, extension ring and UV filter and now use it as it came out of the box. Back to basics - but also back in my bag as a travel camera...

Sorry - couldn't resist!
To be honest though I really prefer to use my X100 without. Either way they are cracking little cameras!

I suppose you could stop pretending and just buy a Leica......

Hi Daedalus2000,
Thanks for you comment - I was particularly also pleased with the colours - with minimal post processing. The CV 50/1.5 continues to surprise.
What I thought striking in the image...

Somehow everything just seemed to be in the right place.

I confess to being only an occasional poster to this forum but I am a regular visitor - primarily to enjoy (and learn from) the many images posted here (Leica or not).
Seems to me that the last...

Stay. I'm also a northerner - but from the otherside of the Pennines. Probably only you and I here understand the gravity of this message......

Thanks David - actually it may also have been better left in colour!
It was very dark indeed and so cold!
The Nokton did surprise me how well it performed.

Brave of me - two image posts in one evening! Please be kind.

Serial number begins with 23.
From what I understand the viewfinder blade Is linked into the lens mechanism - hence the reference to a lens repair on the service sheet. If I recall correctly it...

Had to send my X100 to Fuji (via my dealer) for a sticky viewfinder blade repair (under warranty). Collected the camera from the dealer 12 days after dropping it off. Service sheet indicated a...

At the risk of Fuji wrath - £1000 is fast approaching entry level into Leica digital with the M8. GAS sufferers could then really flex their wallets......lenses, M9, lenses, M9-P, lenses, M-E,...

Hi,
I was lucky enough to find a 1950 Elmar 50mm 3.5 for £80 a couple of months ago. Optics and coating are clean but the outer ring has obviously taken a hit as it is bent. Fortunately this has...

Yes - the X100 is no less a camera with the release of the S.
The features upgraded in the S are well documented elsewhere and Fuji certainly deserve credit for listening to X100 users and applying...

I know. I'm expecting a poetic assault at the very least.:-)

Your kidding me right?Whist we were (obviously) only having a bit of fun there was a hint of irony about the subject - and all your worried about is the camera........I knew I'd get into trouble!
