To be honest no.  Putting a UV filter on was second nature simply as I have always had filters on my Canon and Leica mount lenses - for protection if nothing else.  I tend to remove the lens cap...

Learning to love the little X100 again.  Removed the Gariz case, extension ring and UV filter and now use it as it came out of the box.  Back to basics - but also back in my bag as a travel camera...

Sorry - couldn't resist! To be honest though I really prefer to use my X100 without.  Either way they are cracking little cameras!
