dpr- can you always include every model's shutter actuation in the specification page....? thank you.
what is it with telephoto long lenses, btw.
i guess that would be a good buy, with only under 1700 shutter count, lens and the battery grip. had it been here in my place,i'm gonna get it.
does anyone here know the shutter actuation of the d700? i'm considering buying a used one with 39,000 shutter count for 900 euros.is it a good buy for a 39k count?
fisherman_lol: Good for Canikon, bad for Pentax. Good job DPR as usual.
intentionally done to discredit the good points of pentax k-3? maybe,i guess ,but it,s only me.
barreto_co: For an old pro like me, who loves his FM3a and his Hasselblads, where everything used to be mechanical and the only battery was for the optional metering system, then this is by far, by a long long shot, the best digital camera ever produced!.
Thank you Nikon for the dials! I like looking at the top plate of my camera to see the dials of ISO and shutter speed and the aperture ring on the lens. Its the only three things I need to know to have the right exposure/effect.
Its interesting that most comments here are so negative. I read them but still don't understand why they hate this camera so much. There are so many non-professional cameras out there that would fulfill all their requirements.
From the specs and photos, I absolutely love this camera and I can't wait to buy this camera and I will most likely buy the Df/2 when it comes out.
WELL DONE NIKON! WELL DONE & THANKS!
only for the rich....NIKON, where is my D400?
ImagesInstyle: what happened to the adaptor that allows you to use your canon or nikon lenses on this body????
i hope sigma designs lenses for this FE Mount.I have the 18-35mm F1.8 for my canon 70D, and i L.O.V.E. that lens!!
i guess, these cams allow you to use pentax lenses with adaptor as what i,ve read from pentax forums.
PENTAX D 400.......BRAVO PENTAX..
johnmanoah: When talking about innovation, why aren't these companies considering these easy-to-have innovations?
1. Rotatable (up/down) flash head - so that we could bump the flash to a ceiling or elsewhere. Currently, the in-built flash forces light upon the target which usually results in bright spots or over exposure
2. 3G sim card slot - so that the camera is connected to the internet and sharing/storing is simple
4. Touch screen
Ricoh/Nikon/Canon - Are you listening?
@johnmanoah---- i think you have read about a Samsung camera that offers what you need or want...buy one now. or there's a new galaxy S4.
waited for a D400 patiently and desperately. K3 is the way to go.
kimchiflower: Another great Pantax product that I'll never ever see or be able to buy within 1000 miles of where I live.
In fact, I don't actually believe Pentax exists and I've yet to be proven wrong.
during my school grade days (mid 60's),i never saw a nikon or canon in my place(Philippines) . what i always saw from our town's local photographers were yashica, pentax, and kodak cameras.
bilmenot: I don't agree Pentax is "doomed", it is a small company not only produce cameras but also a line of optics, binocular...etc., and it has root on photography like the "big two", it understands what a real camera should be like, Pentax did not bought things up from others and put it's stamp on it ! Pentax made very nice camera with specs exceeded other made at the same price range. What I worry about the K3 is the sensor shift motion blur thing, I dropped my K5 once onto hard concrete from couple feet up, and the SR is half dead and shift out of place, I spent $400 to replace it, this sounds silly but I don't want to invest on the MKII for just minor improvement. That was an extreme test on a camera, but I worry the sensor SR mechanism will eventually shift out of place after some normal bumps, sensor at that high resolution requires absolute precise alignment. And btw I hated the tilted LCD, it will make the camera looks cheap, and you won't see that on the flag ships of the big two.
so is mine.i swam with it when a big wave slammed on me just a couple of meters from the shoreline ('twas somewhat deep at that distance)in navagio, zakynthos. proud to be an owner of K-5. bumped it on rocks, too, since i used a sling, to no issues til now.sure, this thing needs tender loving care.
1drey: What a terrible set of sample images.
those who wear eyeglasses don't have a clear vision, thats why the terrible set of images...why not buy a hasselblad?
look at the high ISOs, it does not fall short off the competition, DPR. you just publish the images in the gallery...look again at those high ISO images... time to upgrade my venerable D90.
zaakirabdullah: Buffer still sucks. Canon 7D is 8-FPS in RAW for 25 frames. No end in sight using fine jpeg.
buy d the canon 7d if that's your style of photographing images....
great work,very innovative....like like like!
golfgti2012: it sells for $100 in China and rip US people off for $229?
here in athens, the transfunctional is 230 euro.WTF..
focalphotography: The main reason any site including most of the UK news media websites do stories about the iPhone is for Google ranking and search engine optimization.
Daily mail is a good example of this doing maybe 2-3 stories about iPhone every week !!
agree...that case, they should also include samsung and other android phones or better yet never come up an article of a phone,no matter how popular it is.
grafli: i cant memorize the name "KLYP" ...and the product is usless in my opinion...
THEY WONT BE USELESS IF THEY SELL IT FOR 2 EURO......
this theatre is nestled in a lush valley in the town of epidavrus, an hour and a half bus ride from athens, greece.this was built during the 4th century B.C.it is conical in shape with 55 rows of seats made of huge chunks of stones and can accommodate 15,000 people.this incredible piece of architecture boasts of its unmatched acoustics.participants of a show or play need not use any amplifiers in order to be heard by the audience. at present, this theatre is used as a venue during dramatical performances and other shows to cater both foreign and local visitors.if Greece is your next destination, give this site a sight.
Zvonimir Tosic: "Give us your best shot"? Why best shot? Why not give this lens to people with a worst shot, so they can improve on photography — if that's the real purpose of competitions like this — improvement on photography through a superb lens? Many people who submit their best shots already have similar gear, if not better. This reminds me of dumb Leica competition, where contestants *must* take their photos with a Leica camera — isn't the whole purpose to give Leica camera to someone who hasn't got one?!Gosh!
i guess you're right.let the DPR staff determine the worst taken shot and hand him the prize.
