About me:

I have been away from photography for over 20 years and just bought two cheap cameras of an auction site, an Olympus FE210 (good for fun point and shoots) and an Olympus C2100"Uzi" (I want to experiment a bit) I have since handed the FE210 to a friend and my trusty Uzi to my daughter. I replaced both with an SP570UZ. Now my primary camera is an E500 with twin kit and 70-300mm Zuiko ED..

  • Not sure on the EV -2, possibly because I was shooting into the sun and didn't like the images In Camera (LED) too bright.  Easier to resurrect underexposed than over exposed.

  • Thanks.  The batsman is a Sri Lankan and naturally quite "darkish".  As for the ball capture, the space between both shots is less than a second (the ball is bowled at near to 100 miles an hour) ...

Sorry Andrew I was looking at the photos in the wrong order.  I do like your rendition.  I don't have Photoshop or any other High End PP machine, so tend to use Picasa3 as a minimalist PP option. T ...

Thanks Andrew, very tastefully done.  The one nit I would have is the introduction in your working of the yellow streak back left. I have seen many times here folks lamenting the 70-300 at full ...

  • Great story.  Yeah I played semi professional until I left the Navy (we had a team in the Auckland senior comp) and then played president grade for Foxton for two years.  I was a middle order bat ...

Hiya Steve.  I took 5 images with E500 and 14-42, stitched in Microsoft ICE.  Yes looks better full sized. Thanks :) Thane
