Replied in it is a behemoth compared to the 1.
It would not. The difference only becomes bigger, the lenses of the 1 are especially quite dimuitive. Together with PDAF it is the strength of the system, even slightly more so than m43s and if...

Replied in it is a behemoth compared to the 1.
Held them both with kitlenses. Incomparable. In fact: all mirrorless cams are much smaller when you hold them in yoru hand. You immediately notice the bulk especially.

Replied in Nikon 1 or MFT?
It took 'm not very long. And this in a time where, as pioneers, it was wait and see. Fro others that followed it was clear how well the mirrorless cams were doing and far less of a risk.
You...

Replied in Sorry, but the same "silly" warnings are obligatory by the Dutch
Like that you should not put your cat in the microwave...? ;-) Well, i think it has to do with getting dragged to court all too often by those who abused something, got injured and blame the...

Replied in It is like ink: they profit is on the lenses
It will be 25,7 MPixel I thought? 25 MPixel on a fullframe has a lot of promise over anything else, even the D800. Better noise than the D800, faster burstmodi may be than the D800. A huge step up...

Replied in It is like ink: they profit is on the lenses
So on one hand it makes sense bacause of the lenses. On the other hand it does not because this will eat away sales for their D800. I can see quite a few users thinking they can have the D600 and a...

Replied in wrong on so many accounts..
I tend to agree with him. Given the fact hat he uses "I think" "You might" etc he is not stating things as facts but indeed as his opinion. I think this is normal for a forum, persnal preferences...

Replied in If rumours are correct, this is my next cam.
m43 makes an excellent companion for this cam vice versa. I also wonder of the 25 MPixel sensor willl have better high ISO. D800 is a fantastic cam. I canot comment on dpreviews trst because I do...

Commented on Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75mm F1.8 Preview preview
It is more like two years behind in that perspective. It seems with the OM-D it has lost what was its strength: sensor superiority. I actually expected things to go the other way around.

Replied in Beer belly seems to be nonsense or at least needs explanation
The calories in alcohol do not seem to be the problem, it is eating that goes along with it. Or so I was told by several people who said this was recently researched. I always thought it was the...

Replied in Sorry, but the same "silly" warnings are obligatory by the Dutch
government too. And the warnings are not silly in the sense that they are correct, but they are silly in my view in the sense that no one indeed gives a damn. Although I wonder how many people...

Replied in Why no warnings on booze?
If you are addicted those remarks on cigarette boxes don't scare you at all. if anything, most are just making fun of it.
Alcohol is pretty addicitive, therefor alcohol anonymous. But alcohol is...

Commented on Olympus 75mm F1.8 for Micro Four Thirds gets $900 price-tag news story
What is the use of constant arguiing between people who have chosen for a system and both are not inclined to change. The argument is constantly "I chose this because I like this more and not that"...

Replied in Homosexuality from a Christian perspective
Stick to the point he raises, your remark here adds nothing to the argument whether people should be allowed to be gay, Christian, muslim or Hindi or whatever in a democratic secular country. You...

Replied in This can only be meant for those who believe in god etc.
Of course it is a sin for Christians etc. It can't be meant for those who do not believe in God. You cannot make people believe in something, I think God wants you to believe in him out of free...

@ Zanton: The review and previews I have read about this lens have said that it is an excellent lens. The OM-D is an excellent cam. And for excellence and a small size/weight you pay. If size is...

Sam thoughts here, Ivar. If it is as good as one can expect for such a lens at the supposed price, this and the 35-100 will be the two lenses you'll need for a trip (may be a macro in there...

The lenses are not. Only if you compare apples and oranges. Didn't you read this "But perhaps most striking is its compact size; at less than 3" (75mm) in either diameter or length it's scarcely...

? This is the first zoom that is expensive. All other zooms are cheap (7-14 being the exception). What are you talking about. Do you think with the D800 Nikon thinks everyone can shell out 3000...
