Nice image. Times do change: we have a medical marijuana dispensary 100 feet behind our church. The beauty of photography is that we can capture our moment in time for future generations to see.

I still use a Canon S95 when I need to squeeze a little more IQ out of a camera than my iPhone can deliver. My own observations in Las Vegas last weekend were that two dominant cameras ruled among...

I think we will see discounts, depending on currency exchange rates. A D400 seeing the light of day is questionable if you can already find a refurb D600 body for $1,600USD in some places.

While you and I agree smartphones simply aren't the right tool for photography, there is a tidal wave of young people worldwide who regard it as the ONLY tool for photography. In addition, there...

For those of you who haven't read it yet, the posts about Apple and Canon from Thom Hogan's website are worth a read:

Still, I wonder if some of the decline of "conventional"...

I don't own this lens, but have considered getting a copy to use with my D80 and D5100 cameras. One observation many owners of this lens have noted is you must use this lens with greater shot...

Many are wondering if 2013 will be the year Nikon shores up its DX lineup with new lenses. My theory is if we see little to no new meaningful DX lenses beyond the usual suspects (18-xxx mm), then...

What's next, background checks on rifle scopes? Seriously, aren't there bigger issues to be passionate about?

If "kids sports-outdoors" was your third or fourth priority instead of your second, I'd say to go with the OM-D. But with the Nikon you're going to have fewer missed action shots than with the...

I am a late adopter of the smartphone, finally giving up my flip phone for an iPhone5 just two months ago. I was late in getting my first computer, January of 2001. I was also late to digital...

Don't hold your breath on that D400 ever coming...

I couldn't have said it any better!! Nikon's answer for the D300/D300s replacement was the D600, if one has already decided in his/her mind that the D7000/D7100 isn't.
