but is a sony sensor?does someone know?thankscheersamazing camera
Chris_in_Osaka: These 2 primes are kind of expensive here in Japan. Just checked the Yodobashi camera web site. ￥71,400 for the 24mm ($931 USD), ￥67,830 for the 28mm ($885 USD).
yes i see they will be more expansive in europe sadlydo you know the price of the 24-70 ?thankscheers
wow!i'm was waiting for long for the new 24-70!!
about the 24 and the 28 , i'm curious about the price
i mean with IS will thay cost like L serie?
Superka: NOT Supporting Windows XP, Windows XP 64. VERY NICE! I do have very powerful computer, but I HATE WINDOWS 7 for using 1GB of RAM, instead of 250MB as Windows XP 64. Neither of my 12 GB of RAM are unnecessary.I feel that Adobe and Microsoft both force us to use this awful and stupid Windows 7. There are much more complicated software, supporting Windows XP 64.
by the way the more used operation system world wild http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2012/01/01/ten-years-later-windows-xp-still-dominates-the-web/
so few new features but bugs fixed?
i bought iview 3.1.3after i got a free license for expression mediaupdate to Media Pro
but in short it has only a new gui comapred to media expression media
just a bit disappointed
Armando J. Rodriguez, Jr.: It looks as though the 1D X is not part of the exhibit? Why??
may i know when the 1dx will be available to buy?
why did canon present 1dx so soon ? but the selling of the 1dx will be later then nikon d4?
may i ask a question?where and when did canon present his eos flagship 1dx ?
i'm trying itand it's really a great update
but1)it doesn't support xp , even it's the more used os around the world
2)i'm running under w7 , but it's slowi mean photoshop cs5 run amazing fast and it's amazing fastbridge cs5 is super fasti can't understand why lightroom is slow comapared to photoshpp cs5 and bridge cs5
but again for me is a great update
would really love to have a g1x with an electronic viewfiendermaybe to buy separately, apart
i own a g12 but i don't use it
i can't really enjoy the monitori'm old school :Di can't enjoy shooting without a viewfinder (<-- the built in in the g12 is totally useless)but i'm curious the sensor IQand the built quality seems excellent, outstanding
mantra: but it's a canon 1dxi mean where is competition ?
hope the next cameras will not be identical ....
by the way it's for sure a great camera
the point is that i liked more the past2 companies with great cameras and lenses , with different camera line upi'm worried about the futurewhat the next?a 5d mark 3 and a d800 , with almost the same spec?is not only about specsbut i see nikon is copying canon and canon is copying nikon
i mean what's about the future?many cameras that you can recognize only regarding the brand name or the name
in short i guess we will see many similar, analogue (i talking about nikon and canon) without a real competition!
i'm sure about the prices ... they will be almost the samecanon will lower the price of the 1dx ,and at the end , there will be few bucks of different between the 2 cameras
jmmgarza: The latest pro journalist camera from Nikon. If you're working for AP, the Times, etc., get yours now. The rest of us don't need this brick. Then there are those (of us) who believe in conspicuous consumption. The Nikon D4 is a fabulous piece of technology with even better lenses. Sweet!
about the lenses , i found the canon prime lenses better then nikonare you talking about wide zooms ?
but it's a canon 1dxi mean where is competition ?
great!really like itthanks a lot!!!!!!
wonderful photo!i voted for it
Psymon: Still no full review?
sadly digital review is a bit slow to review new camerasbut i trust only about their review
i would like to read a review about the electronic view finder
wow thanksit's a beatuiful contributewould be very nice have in pdf or a video!thanks a lot!
thanks a good idea for a gift
also i'm looking for a good book for black white photography (shoot and post production)
duartix: Support during the v5 fiasco was virtually non-existent. Camera/Lens support took too long to extend from the Canon/Nikon dominance to other players, but speed was always DxO Optics Achilles heel. Bibble 5 is around 10x faster and that's what I was using about 1 year ago, but one day I figured out that if NR was activated Bibble was \~3x slower. Color profiles for Olympus Pens were sub-par and Noise Ninja did a terrible job under artificial lighting. Manual CA correction never gave satisfactory results. One day I tried Capture One (C1) v6 and well... never looked back. It's the best of all worlds, much faster than Bibble (with NR on) because it runs on your OpenCL video card, better IQ than LR, auto CA correction that works, great UI, the best color profiles out there, it's really the best I've tested in all fields except for NR where I rate it 4/10, but when my images need proper NR I batch them from C1 to NeatImage which for me is still the NR benchmark.I'll give it a spin though.
capture one is greatbut if you have a folder with tons of raw pictures, capture one starts to create a huge cache of all your files
that's the only thing i hate about capture one
mantra: hope it will not shipped with the more terrible copy protection
once i wanted to try and in case buy it , because i use lot wide lenses
but it did mess up my windows :(
it was an older version maybe 3 or 4 , hostestly i don't rememberbut i remember after the uninstall , i had weird hardware in my machine (never installed)i remember i had installed outpost and nod 2.7 , and i got many blue screen of deathi swore to never install again dxothankscheers
hope it will not shipped with the more terrible copy protection
