Good methodology,
I guess if people make posts like this we can get an idea of how prevalent the issues are. So here goes me:
OM-D EM-5: yes
Shutter shock: no
double images: no
Rattlesnake...

You really should visit other forums and see what are the usual cases of problems with cameras.
NEX having sensor heating in video mode (the NEX7 has EVF heating! I kid you not), and grips pealing...

I agree with Corkcampbell
Nothing in the article alluded to it being the E-M6 and there is no reason for Olympus not to leave the upgrade of the E-M5 until two years after. They did that with the...

I have it and I like it a lot
but I have to admit, once you've had a whiff of what primes like the 20mm and the 45mm can do, you'll have a very hard time accepting what you get from the 14-150mm....

So true.
Image stabilization will give you one to two stops even on such wide angel lenses.
Also, the lens being fixed at the widest aperture of f2.8 is limiting when you consider the 20mm will...

I tried this with my OM-D (only difference is I set shadows to -7 rather than -5) and I couldn't really get it to work. The picture came out overexposed.
Anyone else having better luck?

I personally believe the best time to get nature scenery shoots is right after or during a slight rain drizzle.
I don't find it absolutely necessary as I hate getting wet and won't be shooting if...

They didn't confidently say it was the E-M6.
I think it's most likely the Pro Model OM-D which will be different from the E-M6 will likely be larger than the E-M5 and more expensive. The E-M5 will...

No expert here on Videography but I do recall a lot of NEX users complaining of overheating cameras that shut off. I do believe the NEX7 is one of those cameras. Probably the newer (but lower spec)...

Baaaah This camera is growing on me more and more every time I look at it. Darn you Olympus, did you have to go and make such a pretty Camera? don't you understand a lot of us need to save money?...

If I'm not mistaken the LX7 actually has a smaller sensor than the LX5. The LX5 was itself hardly an improvement over the LX3 and it took them 2 years to do it yet they didn't. Also, a lot of...

Yeah, Oly definitely listens and responds to customers.
For the E-P5 it's:
- Focus peaking
- 2X2 mode dials so now you can access ISO using the dials directly (no button pushing)
- exposure...
-
And then duct tape the long range zoom lens you need you'll be set.

I've been going over how Oly could have integrated the EVF and flash in the E-P5 and made it into a direct competitor of the NEX7 (at least form wise) and I think other than losing the mode dial,...

Same problem here
I haven't had the OM-D for more than a year now and yet I have over 16,000 shutter counts so far. Funny thing is, my previous cameras were a bridge zoom and a Canon S95. So it...

I have it,
It's excellent in the way that once you have it on in daylight you don't need to switch lenses. However, it'll never be as sharp as the m43 primes at any f number or focal length. The...

Really nice thread
I like seeing people out there doing such experiments. It's exciting to read about. Thanks.

No idea. All I do is type normally and it works fine. Maybe you're using Mac operating system? or slates and pads? Those things act up on me. But never a normal PC. And I'm running windows 8 which...

Never had the chance to look into those so called "bright" full frame VF. I really want to. So I can see what people are talking about when they complement them. A lot do complement them. I had a...

I think I partially take back my comment on the lack of need for EVF. Today there was a skateboard competition and there was a lot of action and flying skateboards (and people!) all over the place...
