Do you say which version of the lens?
I recently got the 4/3rds 9-18 and I'm very happy with how it works on my old e-pL1 with the Olympus adapter.
Quickish focus, fairly reliable.
If I needed...

I recently bought a used 9-18 4/3rds lens from another forum
and this thread got me interested in running a few back-garden test photos.
Just to be quick I took some 9mm-fl pictures of a trestle,...

Do they sell them in Bamberg?

Useful stuff, thanks.
It also seems to suggest that if you're wanting a pocketable system using the 14-42X lens you're really restricted to the GX7 right now : the only 'slim' body with e-shutter.
-
I think you got a defective camera.
Our e-600 was softer than the e-410 but about the same as a Sony a-450 and almost identical to my e-P1.
So ... not as sharp as the e-410 but fine and with...

Sorry to ask a bit off-topic, but how do you find your old e-pL1's Jpegs compared to the new breed, in terms of colour and jpeg satisfaction when DR and high-ISO-noise is not an issue.

But now your camera looks all robotic and COOL.
Keep it that way.

That technology (regarding this thread) WAS available with the GF1. :)
They call it the LVF1
What's amazing in this thread is IanBrown not doing the same shots with a VF-2 on an Olympus Pen, I'm...

I'm late to the thread but with an e-pL2 always to hand and a G3 too I'm qualified to add my bit.
You use RAW : therefore you will be satisfied with the GX1.
But you already have it, and know...

For a start, they aren't called V4 and V3.
Secondly, the VF-3 is the worst of the three EVFs.
Buy a VF-4 or VF-2 if the VF-4 is too expensive.
VF-4 is biggest and best.
VF-2 is still excellent.

I just bought a used 4/3rds 9-18 from a guy who used a Nikon D800 for his really wide stuff.
I think you should get one too : go the whole hog, do it right.
Small sensors (APS-C, m4/3rds etc) are...

And having had both lenses in my garden two days ago (a fortunate accident) I can honestly say the 4/3rds 50mm produces sharper pictures more times than the m4/3rds mZuiko 45mm.

Not random enough : a proliferation of small birsd, no vegetables at all, and no cats or babies.
:(

Let's imagine you think the Lumix 14-45 isn't very sharp in some way.
Tell us at what focal length and area of the frame and at which F-stop it isn't sharp enough for your purposes.
Maybe we can...

Beautiful car,
but I want to see the H-6 engine under there!

Four exposures of 1 second each = FOUR seconds.

Nope.
None of them are any good at night.
Get something with really good high-ISO.
That unfortunately rules out ANY Olympus DSLR, you're gonna have to go micro!

:D
I just unignored Louis to be able to REP his great post!
Oh ... I quoted it too, great! "Badly-dressed relatives" Classic.

Nice comedy review David!

I never had an E-5, we have e-410 and e-600 with just three 4/3rds lenses and in my experience their S-AF is as fast and as reliable as a Nikon D7000 which I sometimes get to use with three lenses,...
