Peiasdf: OMG, the Olympus forum is going to mobilize like it did last year and secure all the top spots.

EDIT: hmm, not much stuff from Oly on the list. A dull year for Oly when competitors came out strong. A7S, A7 II, a6000, X-T1, NX-1, GM5. Next year there is the replacement for EM-5 so that will be exciting.

No way, the king of the year must be Leica! Even if little rusty...:)
PS. How come nobody nominated Leica?

Eugene232: does Samsung make cameras?

I know, but 16-50 f2.8 would be cheper, lighter...that's all.

Samsung makes great cameras! Even if I don't know how many people will buy it at 2,799.00...The lens is almost 3x more expensive than lens wit constant f2.8 aperture (Tamron, Sigma) so it's a miss again....

Souciantmag: I'm absolutely in agreement that the LX100 looks like a great camera. But the praise lavished on it in this review is irritating, particularly the best of the best rhetoric. The 12MP sensor issue is a big problem. Not that we need megapixels, but for such a costly camera, with a great lense, it's a huge drawback. A Sony A6000 would be a better bargain. I say this being a big fan of Lumix cameras.

We don't really need more than 12 Mpx but the trend is more Mpx, that's why many people are "disappointed." Maybe they figure out how to use all 16 Mpx.

The best looking camera of the year. But I will wait for built in flash, EVF not so important for me.

Mike FL: Half of the price goes to the name as Leica is Leica. Other than that:

- Get any Fuji body + Fujifilm XF 23mm F1.4 If you want better sensor and better SPEC'd lens for the same sensor size and FL.

- Go for the best of the best, Sony RX1.

- Still like the Leica look, BUT not Leica price? Fuji X100T looks more liking a Leica than a real Leica.

You still want get exactly the same camera but half of the price? It is POSSIBLE if Panasonic decided to re-badge this Leica to Panasonic... Why not?

P.S.
Oh, almost forget, Panasonic should be add a built in GRIP. or other people will complain/think Panasonic do NOT know how to design a camera, just like they complain/say-to Canon G7X, Sony RX100s...

Never see any one complain Leica having no DRIP. Never, ever...

So now I am mad! If not made in Germany, it's not Leica for me anymore!!!
PS. So how come some people can use swear words and I can't?
I am not from a "right" country, right? Isn't that racist...?
