PetersJV: I too am puzzled by the confusion and negativity. I'm heavily invested in film full frame (1-Ns, 1-Vs) and have had a 10D for just knocking around for quite a while. This gets me a 7D plus full frame plus the GPS I need for travel photography (versus bulky external $$$ units) and preserves my 24-70 (which replaced my 28-70) L lens investment without needing to go buy the APS-C sensor size equivalent. And I always focus first (customize "*" button) shoot later so anything more than one focus point is gravy. Not to mention I'm tired of USB cables and pulling memory cards out to transfer pictures.

I don't have the hubris to declare I'm unique in my use of a camera. From my perspective, this is a win (full frame) win (higher resolution) win (Wi-Fi) win (GPS). Some people simply can't be satisfied. I like to crop in camera, so the 97% versus 100% viewfinder is ever so slightly irksome, but, really, show me anyone who doesn't crop, regardless, at the end of the day.

I totally agree! Except one point: I don't think the Wi-Fi will be useful for large data transfers, since its simply to slow...

It's a FF for 2100$ and compared to 5D Mark II it has built in GPS and Wi-Fi, is smaller, lighter and has a new Sensor! It might be a disapointment if you absolutly not care about size, weight and those features, but it seems that many people don't care about those attributes...

Isn't it the perfect FF camera for travel? No need to buy and care about optional GPS, lighter, Wi-Fi for remote shutter (also timelaps) and get to get the pictures off your camera...

I think these features are not worthless, so why the comparison with the Mark II?
