backupgeek: Too bad replacing my shutter hasn't fixed the problem.

They replaced it after the D610 was released, so who knows what they actually used.

On Nikon issues service advisory on D600's dust issue article (240 comments in total)

Still not very happy. Sent mine in around 3000 shots to get serviced at my shipping expense. Waited 2 weeks. Took under 500 shots and the problem returned. Rocket blower doesn't help much. Question is, will they NOW do a different service beyond standard cleaning?

backupgeek: I would love to get this camera, but I would be upgrading from a D5100. I have a few FX lenses already, but my primary lens is a 10-24 Ultra wide angle. The cost of an equivalent FX lens in addition to the D600, really pushes the price out of my range. Sure I could use my old lens in Crop Mode, but it is only a 10MP crop. Really need some more 3rd party Ultra Wide FX lens options.

I enjoy the D5100, but I really would prefer more controls at my fingers and not hidden in menus. . It doesn't even offer a histogram to check a shot before you take it. I also would like the increased number of autofocus points. If Nikon announced a next generation D7000, I would probably move up to that.
