Opinion: The Rebel XT is credible upgrade to the original digital Rebel. The camera is fast, travels well, feels more solid then the original, and image quality is exceptional IMO. Some may find it a little light if you are using a heavy lens, but with something like the 50mm, 18-55mm, or 17-85mm I think it's perfect. I got the black version and think it looks good too.
