Incarnate . . . AGAIN !
Congratulations Miroslav on a Gold and a Silver in the challenge.
The caterpillar is not only photographed with great technicalexpertise, but you've managed to capture it in awonderful point in its unique way of moving.Superb !
A classic elegant image.
Query: Do Amish Swat teams also use this buggy ?
Captivating !Hypnotic !
A well deserved win.
A wonderful portrait of a wonderful kid -- the very definition of "smiling eyes"!
Good luck, you've got my vote, in spades.
Starting with the fact that this is a head-on 400mm shot of a bird in flight (!), congrats on rising to the considerable technical and real world challenges -- in order to achieve a most impressive purity and elegance of image !
Kudos on a bullseye hit on the challenge.
DPReview: Just a wee suggestion:
How about adding the D800E !!!
The Sony A7's just came out, and you've already got both of 'em on, as well you should -- but still NO D800E.
I, and I'm sure many others, would like to be able to compare the A7r with it's sister-sensor D800E . . . for all the far more than obvious reasons !!(as well as comparing the D800E to any other cam, of course)
Get on it, already ! What are you waiting for ?
Well deserved win, grapher !
A fresh vision in what could have been just the 'same old same old'.
Love the juxtaposition of the vibrance of the colorful, glistening nylon sheathed legs, and shiny shoes set against the dark, drab, rusty old stairway -- Kudos !
justmeMN: Hipsters try to be cool, which by definition, is uncool.
Exactly (!) justmeMN, exactly !
Hugo808: NO ! (tho I of course get your well put sarcasm)
Just be. TRYING to be anything ? Well . . . then again, who am I to say?
Ben Raven: Question for DP and everyone:Do the A7 and A7R have an AF FINE TUNE function ?
With FF cameras of this high resolution, and critical pinpoint focus requirement, this to me,is a valuable and indeed necessary capability.
Thanx harold and viking, for the swift answer, clarification, and article reference.Been stuck in Phase-land too long !
I will now focus (sorry) on educating myself further, in full detail.
Question for DP and everyone:Do the A7 and A7R have an AF FINE TUNE function ?
Ben Raven: DP,SPEC CLARIFICATION PLEASE:
You are stating the LCD screen rez as 1,230,000 dots That sounded great, except:Sony site is giving it as: their "standard": 921,600
RE:My call for SCREEN SPEC CLARIFICATION:
SONY MIXED SIGNALS:Under "Specifications" Sony states 921,600, as I reported. But in the "Overview" blurb about the screen, they state the same rez spec as RX1(r) i.e. as DP reports: 1,229,000 ??I am choosing to believe the better spec (by the odds, and, frankly my wishes) and that Sony has made the lower Specification rez error. If true: Sony, WTF, it's a most basic spec. get it right. But, again, DP please clarify.
DP,SPEC CLARIFICATION PLEASE:
The most arresting shot of a classic windmill I have ever seen,And one that truly captures the essence of a WINDmill.
WIND and MILL and TIME as one !
A hearty congratulations on your originality.
Wye Photography: Very suitable for your bum pocket. I wonder does the curve fit a really huge ass or a small ass!
If Samsung expects to sell this phone in the US, it had better be for a huuuuge ass . . . and preferably expandable !
I PROFOUNDLY disagree with the implication of photographer Richardson's statement that "his iPhone wasn't exactly capturing "visually profound" images".Maybe HE wasn't. (in his own opinion)
Achieving the "visually profound" is most definitely not just proportional tothe level of technical performance of an artist's instrument, camera or otherwise.
Aaah, so much Leica HYPER-HYPE (trademark that Colbert-style) to choose from in this release.
My fave at the moment though is: "AN EXTRAORDINARILY LARGE SENSOR FOR ITS CLASS with a resolution of 12.1 megapixels".
And for what class, pray tell, would a 1/1.7" sensor be extraordinarily large ? There's only one size smaller in the dying compact market !! Phones, perhaps ?? And even phones soon . . . hmm, maybe the new coming iwatches.
Comedy gold, Leica.
PSA close second is: "the SULTRY BEAUTY of the Leica C". Uh oh, my zoom is extending !
SUPERB, MR. DALI !
Creatively conceived and elegantly executed.(even including the title)
Congrats, you deserve this win.
Powerful, with both "eyes" riveting !
Well done !!
Powerful picture, AC,
A great composition -- the balance of the faceless beggar in the dark and the man rushing past, about his business, into the light -- So much caught, and so much said, in an instant.
Well done, brilliant !
