DXOMark reports a 30-60% increase in resolution for the D7100 vs. the D7000, with similar DR, SNR and tonal performance.
"From analyzing the 126 lenses on the D7100 the results are impressive;...

I sure hope so. I use a Pentax 1.2X magnifier on my K-x, and it is a huge improvement for MF. I never used it on my K20D because it compromises weather-resistance.
-
I don't. Why are you asking me that question? I know video sells cameras. That ship has sailed, but I have different needs. I don't need video buttons. I would like to be able to reprogram them to...

They have just bought it! rescued it!

I'm still in for that price, but there's going to be a lot of whining around here soon.
-
I'm thinking this can't be a $1300 camera.

Nikon style diopter adjustment.
-
Maybe AF mode is more complex than a switch can accommodate.
-
Can't they have a little recognition for saving Pentax?
-
Hopefully the movie buttons can be reprogrammed to something useful.
Handsome looking camera.

I don't think you've grasped the concept.
You will have higher resolution with a 24mp K-3, than with a 10mp K10D, both set at f/11. Diffraction limit for a K10D is f/11.5, so the K-3 will have...

The rounded blades should make a clear difference with the 70mm lens, and less so with the 40mm.

Cambridge in Colour has a calculator that shows diffraction limits by crop factor and pixel count. Here are rhe "diffraction limits extinction resolution" numbers for a 1.5X crop sensor:
12mp =...

DXO scores refute the claim that the 16mp sensor is better.
The sensor scores show nothing about resolution, which is where the 24mp sensor leaves 16mp in the dust.

Having owned a white K-x and black K20D for the past several years, I can assure you, you will not feel like a pro and people will not treat you like a pro when carrying a white body. This can be...

Actually that should read 30-60% improvement in resolution. I had no idea there would be such a clear gap, especially with bottom line lenses.
Note that comparing the D7000 and D7100...

Not according to DXOMark. The sensor score is 83 for the D7100 vs. 80 for the D7000 (DR, ISO, tone). Resolution appears to be radically different (30-50% improvement):
"From analyzing the 126...

When you are comparing 4/3 and APS-C lenses, don't just convert focal lengths. You also need to convert aperture. For example:
35-100mm f/2 x (2/1.5) crop factor = 47-133mm f/2.7
DOF between the...

I believe this is a failure to communicate due to inter-brand nomenclature. CAF is what Oly people call AF-C.
CAF is Constant Auto-Focus, not Contrast Detect Auto Focus (CDAF).

These are all rumours I've heard, but I would just point out that none of the above rumours were from Asahiman.
