You think the DF looks like a melting meatball?

Cane: If it's going to be made in e mount, why does it say with adapter?

"sans an adapter" means "without an adapter".

Then it would be amazing !

I guess you didn't make it all the way to the second sentence in the article. Understandable given that there are six sentences in the whole thing. Who has that kind of time!?

ThatCamFan: Or just use a polorizer, mit is wasting time.

A polarizer! What a great idea! I wonder why those idiots at MIT never thought of that before!

Don't worry. They'll find something to complain about.

MustangJoe: So I was at my local Chevy dealer yesterday and noticed that they had a Chevy Spark on the floor. I started shouting "this thing doesn't have 460 horsepower like the Corvette!" and "it can't even carry 2,000 pounds of cargo like the Silverado!" "What a useless vehicle!" I yelled to everyone in the place.

A salesman came over to me and asked me if I ever visited dpreview.com.

"Yes", I answered, "why do you ask?"

"Well, it explains a lot." he mumbled as he walked off to a different corner of the room.

Since he knew that I visited dpreview.com he understood that I had no intention of ever buying a Spark but that I just enjoyed complaining about it.

justinwonnacott: This kind of content is nothing but click bait . When we "pay" to use this site.... by selling our eyeballs to the advertisers it is a shame that our attention goes for such a low price. I am increasingly visiting other sources for real news and technical information to avoid this kind of meaningless bumpf.

Of course it's click bait. I'd love to see a meeting where someone says, "Hey, let's create a site that contains content that no one wants to read!". If you're not interested in the content, then don't click on it.

Doesn't happen to me with Chrome.

Henrik Herranen: They lost me at the line where they said:
"Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM (equivalent to a 40mm f/2.8)"
(followed by many other lines of similar, ahem, data).

They really should know better. 40/2.8 on FF is _NOT_ the equivalent of 24 f/2.8 on crop. If it was, both systems would have the same DoF and blurring capabilities, but they don't.

Different images = no equivalence.

Well, that didn't take long. First comment and we're already into the "equivalency" garbage.

Quite frankly, I don't know how Simon, Barney and the others at DPReview get up in the morning and go to work. I don't think I could do it if all I had to look forward to was the incessant whining of petulant "experts" who criticize and complain about each and every thing that they do. Imagine how long you'd last if your job was having to deal with some of the people that I see commenting on here.

I'd snap.

fyngyrz: I own Viveza 2 and DFine. I went to the site, but there's no mention of previous owners qualifying for the entire suite. There's a 15 day free trial button, and a buy now button. Nothing else. As I'm not interested in a trial version (the implication is my current versions would be replaced with trials... ugh) or in buying... what to do?

Sent this to Google/Nik as well.
