Brad: Sad to see the demise of one of the world's oldest airlines and so many good employees out of work. I was there one week before Morales took office, unforgettable experience. Did not have my DSLR with me, but do have a several images from an LX1 compact. He is welcome to add these to his collection. http://www.flickr.com/photos/92277538@N02/
Nice collection of images...very haunting.
Great capture! But that date taken is too funny.
Will mainly be used by SI photogs.
When I was a child and film was still the main recording medium, I used a Pentax 645.
There are so many other fabulous tools other than Photoshop...let's quit the lovefest with Photoshop on this site.
Philip Corlis: Take a look at that smug bustard Winston and tell me Adobe is looking out for its customers. WRONG. Winston and his pals are looking out for their stock options. Adobe makes 1B in profits on 4B in sales annually and even thats not enough for Winston and his friends.
Winston thinks you should pay him more money more often so he can offer you swell new things like camera shake reduction. Well Winston, most of us learned how to avoid camera shake long ago. Winston and his pals want you to use their "cloud" so they can hijack your files later and hold them ransom - "Sorry folks looks like we'll have to start charging you for that cloud storage..."
Personally, I hope Winston and his friends choke on this idea. I hope he's back here in six months apologizing to his former customers just like the geniuses at NetFlix had to do.
Me. I'll wait and see who else shows up in the marketplace to fill the vacuum that Winston and his pals at Adobe have created with their greed and hubris.
I totally agree with your post. I, for one, will have NO part of this farce!! Goodbye Adobe!!!
Nice! Very nice indeed!!!
I would call this image anything but iconic.
Such a warm shot...just love it!!
Jim in AZ: Hope it doesn't have the usual crappy anti-glare matte that makes it impossible to distinguish noise from the matte artifacts.
From the specs:
Panel Type, Surface:AH In-plane switching, anti glare with hard coat 3H
pictureAngst: Umm, the roll of K64 in my Olympus Mju ii has a serial number one higher than his - should I tell him?
I'm happy to send him my roll if he wants to use up the remaining 6 frames, as long as he returns my camera afterwards - it's the limited edition one with the dateback and silver wrist strap so I don't just loan it to anyone.
He'd need to publishes my pictures too - there's a really good one of my Aunt doing the conga, and some arty contre-jour shots of Fudgie and Patch our guinea pigs.
Frames 8-30 he can ignore as I forgot to switch the camera off before I put it in my jacket.
I wouldn't tell him...you might burst his ego. :)
What about the Iphone 5? I don't see it on this list. :) :)
I'm just curious about the longevity of the Samsung products vs. the Apple products. I've know some folks who had Samsung phones that didn't last long..they became defective, etc. I'm still using an Iphone 3Gs (ok..call me cheap), and it's over 3 and a half years old and still works great and holds it charge for a very long time. Any comments on this??
Maybe a better caption would be..."Who's flying this plane?" LOL!!!
Didn't know that the 5d Mark III could capture fast action...I would have expected this capture from one of the 1D line of camera's. Nice shot.
Nice capture!! Which lens did you use?
Excellent use of HDR!!
Very nice! Is that considered cloud-to-ground or cloud-to-cloud lightning?
Great shadow capture...4D effect!!!
