Shifter: ZZZZZZZ. ZZZ. ZZZZZZZZZZ. It's called Photoshop, Ansel lovers.
Shifter, Photoshop didn't exist then. His camera was a film camera (I believe it was a Pentax) where everything was set manually. The photo was a result of a long chemical process. The digital age changed the way we shoot and process photographs but in the end, it's the talent of the photographer and his tools that matter most.
That is darn cute photo! :-)
Well done Michael! Absolutely love your photos! Lived here in Idaho for almost 12 years now and never looked back (lived in Abu Dhabi/Dubai). Indeed California is bigger and beautiful, but Idaho has it's own charm. Idaho is blessed to have good weather all year round (yes, that includes winter) too. We don't have a lot of earthquakes, drought, forest fires (we get them once in a while), flooding and standard of living isn't as high as Cali. :-)
Thank you DPReview! Well worth the wait!
cgarrard: Now that's a superzoom. Raw and constant f/2.8 with an excellent EVF to boot.
Might have to get this bad boy. Wish there were more product images, like the rear of the camera for example.
Lars, what's the front filter thread size please?
My FZ30's not going to like this but he's getting a big brother! I'm going to have a lot of sleepless nights beginning tonight! :-)
mike051051: OM-G! (sorry, couldn't resist).I may be just an old hardware geek from way back, but this is a beauty. If I'm able to acquire one of these I'm just going to call it my "OM-5".I have to stop writing now 'cause my face hurts from smiling so much!
You took all the words right out of my mouth! I so want one in black!
I think they should have hired a professional photographer to design the camera. I still want a camera that commands "respect" form other photographers. I agree with John, the camera is..."butt ugly". :-)
More info for those who are curious, like me! :-)
I can tell that I have been missing so much from DPReview! Aah, serenity. Congratulations!
