Photos are good / bad because they can or cannot make the audience resonate with certain emotion. Sharp photos can be total rubbish. I know this because a lot my photos are sharp but bad picture.

Wow. Sigma has step it on. It's a good stir to the old & lazy big boys. I wonder whether they will have a smaller version for the APS-C mirrorless bodies.

Thumbs up to including Andrew's take on video.

I was thinking the same, before reading this:"Maximum aperture F3.9 - F4.9”. That, combined with the 1/2.3" sensor, is really a pity on such a seemingly fun camera. I am a canon D10 user. if you...

as a Chinese, I got to say this is a good one :)

it looks like a toy, badly designed one.

if they can make a E-mount version and be lighter than the full-frame counterparts, I am sold. I just need one such lens for night photography on hiking trails.
-
I need it as wide as possible and as bright as possible, because I mainly use ultra wide for night sky. DOF is irrelevent for me. So just do not generalize your own interests to others.

I just did Tour du Mont Blanc hiking trip with this camera. My experience: 1) It's a hiker's gem. You get M43 or near-APSC level of image quality out of <300g weight in your pocket, and you have...

I have to admit Apple is real supply chain master. With this screen/spec/design/quality and brand it with Thinkpad, Lenovo will probably charge people $4k for that. Just look at their...

@HowaboutRAW at what size did you print D800/D3/D4 RAW samples?

It seems canon rest on 18MP aps and 22MP FF for quite a while. Is it because 1) Priority is set to develop sensors suitable for both still&motion picture; or 2) Canon's FAB cannot keep up with...

the quality is actually not bad!

Finally, someone implemented the real touch screen. Bravo Canon! And, now shove the mirror box and give me a real travel camera!
-
f number on small sensor like that has nothing to do with bokeh. It just indicates the light flux you will get through the lens. and in that sense, 1.8 anywhere for me pls.
-
wow! this one is a real killer!

"Few people know how to do" does not make it more "art" or "creative". It's actually more of a gimmick. Everyone can pick up a brush but there is only one Picasso.
