tkbslc: Funny thing, these Nikon V2 comments are very negative, just like the V1 comments at launch. Why? Because it's a $750 body! It's got to compete with Nikon's own D5200, Sony's A57 and Canon T4i. So when you look at the image quality in comparison it's a huge let down.
Now if you view more recent Nikon V1 comments in the forums, they are very positive and glowing. Why? Because the V1 kit was down under $350 recently. At that price, it is competing with cameras like the Canon G12 or two year old M4/3 closeouts and the AF speed and image quality is very attractive for the price.
Bottom line? Price makes all the difference.
thatswhy i read very few comments... :)

mdava: Surely 10,000 units is not a *limited* edition in any meaningful sense of the word.
How many X100s have been sold in total so far?

"The X-S1 features a 26x, 24-624mm equivalent ... zoom"So why come a lot of idiot comment with "ugly"??!It's a very innovative camera with special sensor size and lens combination!
feinschmecker: "and bring focus times down to 0.2 sec (twice the speed of the GRD III)" --> Should this be "half the speed"?!?
half the time, twice the speed
jpr2: if only Ricoh took heed of the recent uproars created by built-in VFs of x100 and Nex7 :( !!
