May be true with 1/1.7 sensor size (or smaller), and bigger size of the camera. They want to compete with Panasonic LX7 and Samsung EX2F here.

Yes, they must release the part, which is covered by the GPL. Some other parts, such as SDK are not covered by the GPL, but the base OS and kernel is.

Just ask them, and if it's based on Linux, they will send you a source code, cause it's covered by GPL.

It will be more expensive with a lens. Photorumors quoted a price of $700, I believe this is for body only.
