i think the screen set on sunny mode is better than EVF or at least on par with it. I dont like using the eye cup all the time, it seriously hurts the portabillity of the camera and is hard to use...

hmm, maybe. i do find i.e. the 35f1.8 lack a bit contrast wide open, but it's easily fixed either in camera setting or in post. I postprocess every image i wanna keep so it's not a problem for me.

sorry to hear that. mine is pretty much dead silent so you definitly got a faulty one. the 50 I had made some noise from the aperture blades but it was not that bad.
