Nice...
roy5051: Why don't Fujifilm, and the rest, improve on the dinosaur technology that is the 200,000 dot EVF?
They have in fact gone backwards, I used to own a Canon Pro1, what is now a 9 year old camera & its EVF & back screen were both 230K+ resolution .. over 30,000 more! .. Worse still, the Minolta A2, had a 900K+ EVF - NINE YEARS ago!, and we're only seeing these kind of displays in the last couple of years. BOTH cameras also had top panel quick ref LCDs, something that you only find on mid-range & above DSLRs now. Apart from the pixel count & zoom race, other features that used to be there are being removed and DUMBED DOWN!. Hell they are even removing EVFs on P&S cams now, thus forcing you to wave your cam around in front of your face like a soppy iphone!
tell the truth: COOOOOOL !!! It really is ! These Bridge cameras will soon Rule the World !! Who needs a full blown SLR ? I mean think about it . The pictures from these are getting very good,, All this for $ 350 !!!!!! They are fun and they can make great medium size prints. The lens 24mm to 1056 mm ,, WOW !! Nikon's new 800 mm lens with the matching TC cost about $ 18 Grand . ( Yes Nikon is FINE ) But,,,,.. Now all we need is a DP REVIEW ,, on ALL Models to see who is KING !!! Thank you Fuji !!
"The pictures from these are getting very good" - Rubbish!
I own the S100FS the last Super CCD based camera that Fuji produced when they still seemed to care about overall resolving power & detail. Since the S100FS, No other Fuji superzoom & I mean NO other, has produced the same level of detail & resolving power as the S100FS.
Maggie needs to ditch the meat-head looser and get a restraining order against him.
Toy
maboule123: iPhone & Androids: THAT'S the future!!
= Photographic fail!
Getting sick & tired of the current trend of cameras loosing their EVF/OVFs ..
Then bullsh*tting the public into thinking that the above is a 'Premium' feature now, when it has ALWAYS been & SHOULD always remain a FUNDAMENTAL component of a CAMERA!
- That's right .. camera.. NOT a wave it about in front of your face iphone!
audijam: another failure from Pentax...where is my FF K-1 or MZ-D however you want to name it? geeeeeez....
NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your comment is a Failure.
Getting tired of this 'now you have it, now you don't' - Flip out screen farce.

xoio: More crappy 'wave the camera around - Iphone Style' rubbish.
No, I'm a user who's had digital cameras for over 10 years, & in that time seen the feature set get dumber & dumber. Bye bye top info LCDs (now only on mid-top level DSLRs), bye bye bulb mode (now only on DSLRs), plus a host of other features. Bye Bye flash. Now bye bye EVFs/OVFs.
Most of the other EVS-less cams have a fixed back lcd, thus you'll be waving them around in front of your face like a phone. - This is NOT how I want to take photos. And yet if all other cameras makers follow suit, that's what I, and all other users who take their photography even half seriously, will be FORCED to do!
NO THANKS!
OVFs & more recently EVFs were created and EXIST for a reason! Which includes bracing the camera in a way that includes using your eyebrow and arms locked in close to steady a shot.
Holding a camera in front of you - iphone style, makes it IMPOSSIBLE to take a steady shot, especially in low light (slow shutter speeds) or zooming in!
Now go crawl back into YOUR cave.
More crappy 'wave the camera around - Iphone Style' rubbish.
Alas it's only redeeming feature is that it is dirt cheap.
It is clearly a thrown together 'me too' bridge cam, with no innovation .. a 230k EVF? come on! - I suppose though, as least it still HAS an EVF, when compared to the current trend of omitting them, thus turning the other cameras into a wavy-iPhone.
With a function & feature list that is mediocre at best. - NO Hot shoe!!?
You can tell this is Pentax saying... yeah, i suppose we can enter the bridge cam sector too, but mustn't in any way make a cam that would loose us a DSLR sale in favour of it.
Therefore ... why bother making this cam really, when it doesn't stack up against any of the other current bridge cams.
16MP in a pinhead low grade CMOS!?, you just know the image quality is going to be toot!
ANOTHER 'wave it about in front of your face like a stupid iphone' camera.
Sorry, but this recent 'trend' from numerous manufacturers' of omitting EVFs & OVFs is really S**t!
I'm getting sick & tired of this manufacturer imposed 'TREND' where they're loosing the EVF or Viewfinder, thus forcing us all to have to wave these camera's around in front of our faces like bloody Iphones.
Pathetic!

At 1/40, - Hand held, i think it would have been sharper had i used a mono or tripod. The lighting was peculiar as a storm had just passed.
Looks like one of those cheap plastic Russian LOMO cameras...
Horrible styling... At least let me see it in Black anywhere?
Well
At least we now have it confirmed that it WAS a duff sensor all along, and the only fix is going to have to be a new one, but will they be honourable and offer a swap for existing customers?
The styling sucks!
