  • I'm drawn in to the mood of those green fictional spaces you have created. Indeed - my first thought when viewing was, "that would make wonderful illustration to a fantansy book", - looks like i...
  • Mick, hopefully, your package will arrive in time for the christmas tree ;-) That said, i'm wondering how your transport services work - here in Germany, i pay for the equivalent of your parcel ~ 6...
  • Jared, I'm considering heating up the end of a flat screwdriver and melting the notches down a little deeper (finished by shaving the extra plastic off with a knife). hmm, i'd be VERRRY careful...
  • John, On my first trip out with my lovely new GR, whilst taking my gloves off, the wrist strap came off my arm and the camera fell and hit the road. ouch, that hurts. On a similiar level, i did...
  • Pavel, It would be nice if Ricoh would offer an option to save large preview directly in DNG files, for those who really needs to use RAW-only mode. well, but what good would that do? There's...
  • Tom, In Europe it is worse - I will leave the rate charged to locals to explain. well, mainly about 19-20%, apart from some specialities, where there is a reduced rate of about 7% for things...
  • Replied in Fire in the...
    steam engine? Karl
  • maybe she changed clothes and went to Croatia, where i got this one - with humble P10 ooc.... in reality about 10cm long, somewhat gruesome ;-) Karl
  • Well, as all the usual suspects seem to be excluded - you are SURE, you haven't toggled the VF/LCD button ? Karl
  • Replied in Korean Cuisine
Trafford, usually i'm not too keen for honey, but in this case it was the icing on the cake, so to speak ;-) Karl
  • Replied in Korean Cuisine
Thx And it was absolutely a devine treat to eat ;-) Maybe it was all made with Soya? Apart from the honey, that is... Karl
  • Replied in Korean Cuisine
S10 rules - here one ooc from an almost antipodian cuisine on island Amrum in the North Sea - blueberry sorbet with peach slices in honey (no idea, if this is allowed by vegetarians ) - simply...
  • I wonder, hasn't the GR got the electronic shutter mode as the GXR? I use this for above conditions, and it is indeed absolutely no sound at all... Karl
  • i would go with two "to M" adapters. Chance is, you will let each on your favorite lens and i vastly prefer to put in the bajonett than to screwing the m42. So if you don't have to, don't do it...
  • Really? For me this version has a lot more interest than the original.... Karl
  • digitalphotographer, i followed the thread only very loosely, but can't help to wonder: if you like a "big" jpg, why not set the cam to Raw+Jpg and be done? If Ricoh would add a usuable jpg "into"...
  • Tom, as an aside: under non ideal lighting circumstances, i often think the _pre_view "look" o LCD and/or EVF to be really acceptable, only to find, that the shot taken does not really resemble...
  • FWIW, my "dust removal" on GXR took 3 days here in Germany. One "to", one "handling", one "back". Payed 6 € for shipping. I'd at least contact Ricoh and want a written approval of them, before i'd...
  • Prog, just had a go with P10, A12, M- Mount, all go smoothly without noticeably difference in needed force. I'd suggest a very sharp look at the rails of your module, maybe it got somewhat...
  • Marty, Naturally, as you have to with any other fixed lens cam. The difference is with NON fixed lens cams, but that was not my point. Sorry, don't understand what you mean here. Is it: GXR is at...
