Hmm I don't quite understand your point. If you shoot Raw, the color tones are entirely dependent on the processing software. Camera color profiles are simply saved as meta data and can be...

Digital cameras do not have any inherent "skin color". Please lets stop creating these nonsensical threads. You choose the skin tones, or any other tones, when developing your RAWs.You can interpret...

I want a 500 gram D600 next

I see this as simply Nikon not having the resources to design 4 high-end cameras at once, rather than some deep strategy shift. They would have released a D400 already if they could. Its coming.

Sorry, but I call BS on those comparison pics.Any other sources?

Yes you can use DX lenses, but most of the full-frame sensor area would not be used.OK as a temporary measure I guess, but you can get cheap FX lenses, like the excellent $200 50mm f1.8g

reformat both cards (in camera), try again.

As it should, but fitted to my monitor size, there is still a clear and obvious difference between camera JPGs and Lightroom JPGs at ISO 6400And believe me, I am no RAW nazi. I started this thread...
