Created thread Magic Lantern - How can I get histogram display before I take the picture?(T2i)
After the picture is taken and viewed, the histogram would display. But before the picture is taken, when I look in Live view, the histogram display is not available.
Sony NEX has this feature.

Replied in Polarizer - Actual filter vs digital darkroom
I used it a lot back in the film day. But I think i can do that in PS.
yes, there are a few cases a polarizer is necessary, but it is relative rare I think.
No for now. A lens hood is...

Created thread Polarizer - Actual filter vs digital darkroom
I am contemplating whether I should add an polarize filter. I think I am at the critical mass already.
Is it worth? I think Photoshop/Lightroom can do that just fine, why bother? It may just...

Replied in Rack Focus - Magic Lantern
Just set and let the software take multiple pictures, then you can overlaid them on computer just like HDR.

Replied in yes or no
Changing to larger wafer will require upfront investment in equipment. However, the 12 inch wafer is pretty much a standard right now, not like they have to do R&D. So cost and risk is not that...

Rule #1: stay away from the damn bison. Use your lens to get close.>
I have been there 4 times. You must be lucky to see a bear.

Replied in Yellow Stone Recommendations
Ask one of the family member to carry a 2nd camera, maybe a good P&S. One is not enough, especially when you are on a tour, and changing lens back and forth is a big hassle.

Replied in Yes Nikon can offer FF at that price
After 5 years in the making, the cost of wafer should drastically cheaper. 12 inch wafer is pretty much standard versus 8 inch 4-5 yrs ago. Pixel density does not increase much so yield should be...

These are the reasons I would pick the NEX7 if I buy my first camera today.
1. Compact without compromise on IQ and sensor size.
2. The NEX7 EVF is 100% fullsize. From what I heard, the...

Replied in If I buy my 1st SLR today, I may not pick a Canon
But it is not like a house or a car. There is string attached, the lenses.

If they can make FF to last 150K, APSC should last 2X.

Replied in Full Frame in 60D body size possible?
Size is the only negative factor for me to pick up the 5DII. I can't hardly wait.
Another factor, Photoshop CS6 adds blurry background features so the need for FF is not where it is used to be.

Created thread Full Frame in 60D body size possible?
One half of me wants a FF, another half wants 60D because it is the top model of the light class. Why can't any manufacturer offer a FF in compact body. Unless you have real long tele, who wants...
