You really have to try the Nex 6 in your hands before you decide. The new 16-50 lens retracts like the X20 so it doesn't stick out much.

The kit 16-50 is very close to the X20 when you take in the sensor size. You really don't need much more than that if you are trying to be compact. I would take the Nex 6  any day over the X20....
